Outside does not reflect its interior. Inside is renovated and clean. Good breakfast. Helpful staff but straight-faced. Metro station and commercial boulevard very close. Also close to Danube river. Budapest is a must place to visit.

We were a bit confused at the entrance - I was glad I remembered a Tripadvisor reviewer who explained how to access the hotel from the street, press the door entry button at two different doors then up a few stairs to the lift. Great location for the main shopping street, the river and the bridges. Staff were very good...

OK, so the entrance is tricky the first time around and so is the fantasticly old elevator but once all is mastered, the rest is fine. After all, it doesn't profess to be the Hilton. Signs on the street level are more than adequate to find the hotel entrance. After finding the code number on the list by the street...

The Leo Panzio hotel is centrally located, only 2 minutes walking from the main Vaci street.
In front of the hotel you have a metro station + a supermarket ('Match') that is open 24/7.
There are a lot of signs directing to the hotel on the outside. The fact that you need to pass 2 doors with a code that...

You are wondering if you really are right when you enter through the door and second door (both with buzzer locks) and find yourself in a very worn down (old and charming -yes) hallway entrance and an elevator from 1900 cold and then have to walk on a outside walkway ower a rough inner yard - finally you are inside...

Hi all, i will start from the negatives this time:) a bit pricey, 160e for 2 nights, and not wireless internet in all the rooms. We had room no 14 that is exactly opposite the reception and the internet was working perfectly. Time for the good words: in the center of budapest, next to the metro station, next to vaci street,...

I was intrigued by an earlier review about “not judging a book by its cover” and had reservations as I entered the main door and along the balcony. Thankfully on entering the hotel, I found it well furnished, very welcoming and the staff couldn’t do enough to help. The real bonus came when I sank into the bed at night...

We stayed at Leo Panzio for 4 nights at the end of September 2010. Very convenient location for transport and also a Match supermarket opposite. Two lovely women served breakfast-no English but very friendly and efficient.

Came recommended by Rick Steves and was indeed a very nice small hotel in a great location. On a busy street, but rooms were quiet. Close to many sites, but do utilize Budapest’s wonderful transportation system. The hotel is very close to main Metro stop and just blocks from the Danube. 24 hour staff speak English and are very helpful....
