I have stayed in many hotels, 4 star and 5 star hotels, but I am extremely disappointed with the Casa Sol Hotel booking. This hotel barely meets the standards of a 3 star hotel. The room was extremely dirty, it was obvious it had not been cleaned before my arrival. The lamp and air conditioning were broken. The chair provided... More

The area is not the best part of the town, but only a few minutes from the heart of Budapest., a city that is really one of the best I have seen. The people are nice, but they were not happy about the price which they had posted on Trip Advisor. They honored the price and the advertised amenities such... More

Our rooms were spacious and had a fridge for our use. Public transport was cheap and frequent with the bus stop situated about 100metres from the hotel. Two of our party travelled free on public transport as they are over 65 (just show your passport if you are an EU citizen). The breakfast consisited of juice, tea. coffee, cheese, cold... More

Room was more or less ok, but it seems for me that a furniture as not fresh as it should be. Shower is seams to be rather clean, but a lot of dust on the ventilation which gives you in general imression about the cleaning. The troubles started when we check out - we spend a lot of time when... More

Everything about the stay was pleasant EXCEPT for the payment process. Upon leaving we paid for the one breakfast and few cokes we had and got a receipt, but on our return home we realised the hotel staff had taken off the full amount for the stay which we had already paid via expedia. After many phone calls this has... More

This hotel has changed ownership recently and been completely remodeled. Rooms are huge by European standards, clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed chatting with the new owners. Although it is some distance from the center of the city, we booked a 24-hour pass on the Hop On, Hop Off bus and were able... More

Casa Sol Hotel is a modern hotel close to the heart of Budapest. I've read reviews that indicate that it is not "central" but I would say that it is. All you have to do is walk some 50-100 metres to get to a bus that drives you to the city center or the nearest metro station in just a... More

Very happy with my stay at the CasaSol. Friendly and helpful staff, big, clean room, fast and free wireless, and in general great value for money. One small gripe: I stayed in a twin room, and both beds were very creaky, sometimes loud enough to wake me when I turned in my sleep! More

We are a family of 4 and had a quad room at this hotel. The hotel itself was a bit out of the centre and you needed to catch a bus (outside the hotel) or metro (a good 20 minute walk away). Overall the hotel itself was quite good, clean, spacious and had some cooking facilities. Breakfast was good with... More

I had to give my passport when they've already had my creditcard info. Give me the filling that they think I will leave without payment. When I asked the staff to give my passport back because I went out, the staff required me to pay the bill, when I only check out on the next day, and all my lugguges... More

The passport or ID card is required for official registration because it is the legal obligation of the hotels to register their guests. More
