Nice and helpful staff, the rooms are clean as well as the seperate bathrooms. Also handy is free wifi, so you can check all that Vilnius has to offer on your smartphone. We also had a budget room, however since this was only our stop (1 night) on the way to airport and further to Italy, was quite ok, since the train station was close. Noisy street, old bedclothes, the room itself (very small!), but anyway was ok for just a stop. Parking place is a plus.

Our bags where opened while we were in the city. One creditcard diseapperd. Staff try to take higher price then promised. They gave up after a long discussion. Tucked in right around the corner from the bus station and very very close to the old city, this location made a good base for quick trips to Kernave, Trakai and Kaunas. Title says it all. Nothing taken, but our bags were certainly searched through when we weren't there. Area around isn't great. Vilnius is worth a visit.

After staying at Mikotel for one night we checked out.The place is backyard of Vilnius were alcoholics and junkies are hanging around near the shabby trainstation.The workers at Mikotel dont care about you as a guest and look at you as something that are waisting their time.The bed are covered with 20 years old blankets and the whole room stinks...
