The staff are rude and not helpful. The breakfast was not good. The room was very uninteresting, narrow stairs and no lift. Please do yourself a favor, don´t stay there.

St. Olov is a magnicifent charming hotel and it has a good situation in Tallin centre, just one hundred meter from the main square. The very best restaurant very near the hotel is the famous garlic restaurant Balthasar (about one hundred meters from the hotel). We usually are very well treated in Estoania and Tallin, and so it was also...

The hotel has rude service at the reception, below average breakfast and rooms have no sound insulation whatsoever. Could hear people even snoring and every word that was said in next room.Minibar is poorly stocked. If going to Tallinn, do yourself a favor, and stay some somewhere else.

went to Talin Easter 2011 with my young son, choose for my stay Hotel St. Olav for its location, travelling with a small child I needed something in the center of town in order to reach restaurants easily at night time and easy sightseeing in and out of town.
My choice thanks to trip advisors and another website was perfect, couldn't...

Location is pretty much in the middle of the old town and c15-20 minutes walk from the ferries. I'm surprised at other reviewers criticism of reception staff, as our service was very helpful. The hotel has been well designed to retain as many original features as possible, whilst providing modern amenities. The rooms were well laid out with a big...

The hotel has a nice character to it - the corridors are a maze of medieval pathways to the rooms. We had a good quiet room with a view to the courtyard. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. Normal Estonian service at the check-in desk - I wasn't expecting a royal treatment. The location of the hotel...

Very reasonably priced, good size, clean rooms and a great breakfast buffet! Hotel is in the heart of the old town, but still very quiet.
Bar / restaurant does a great creme brulee.

Nice enough for a weekend. The hotel is perfectly located however we had some issues, we were 3 and we got an extra kind of weird mattress which was so very thin that it made it impossible to sleep on it. Normal bed had 2 of those mattresses so sleep quality was ok. It smelled horrible in the upper floors...

Do not get me wrong its a great location so near lots of fantastic restaurants and the restaurants in Tallinn are fantastic value with great food, but the St Olav Hotel however, is not one I would recommend, luckily I did not break the bank staying there. I think the receptionists and there were two female and one male while...

This is my kind of hotel. A place Count Dracula would feel at home in. Bits of medieval walls and wooden beams exposed at every nook and cranny. A 14th century fortified merchants residence, with attached storerooms, converted in the 18th century into a Russian aristocrat's house, and a library in Soviet times. This is not a hotel for people...
