I stayed in Pedras da Rainha about 8 or 9 years ago and loved it but I was slightly nervous booking it for holidays this year as that length of time can change everything but it was still as lovely as I remembered it. We were travelling with a 6 month old and requested ground floor accommodation which we got... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Pedras da Rainha this September for one week. It was our first holiday away together and it was exactly what we were hoping for. A quiet relaxed break in a nice sunny location. There isn't a lot going on in Cabanas, so if you're looking to go and party every night this isn't the... More

We have stayed here many times. The big attractions are peace and quiet and superbly kept gardens with many trees and shrubs of the area. For the sporty types there is a great pool and tennis courts with racket hire. Lawn bowls is a big feature with local and visiting teams playing. Teams can stay in accomodation from studios up... I previously posted a review last October and have just returned from a return holiday to Pedras that even surpassed the last one. This time we were allocated a semi villa with beautiful patio leading to the garden. But a better surprise was to come. A stairway from the front door led up to a roof terrace which had table... We stayed here in late September/ early October and had fabulous weather. Our accomodation had character and was of a good size with a nice balcony over looking the pool. The only negative comments I can make was the tiled flooring was a nightmare with a 15month old baby( although we wouldnt have expected any other flooring) and the steps... More

Stayed at Pedras de Rainha for a week in july arrived late at night , when we went in we were pleasently surprised. The villa was very big, had all we needed for a comfortable stay and pleanty outside space, Had 3 seperate areas outside to sit so we always had the sun. The pool and reception was close enough... I would avoid this complex if you have other options available. The only thin I found here that a 3* would have is air con. Everything else seemed to be screaming 2* or less. I traveled to the Algarve with Sunworld/Thomas Cook for 1 week with my girlfriend On arrival we were initially given a triple SC, which meant sleeping... More

This was our first holiday abroad with our two boys (aged 5 & 7), and I started to get worried when I read the mixed reviews of this resort but thankfully I only agreed with the positive ones! We'd booked a one bedroom apartment and it was suprisingly spacious, had air-con in both bedroom and lounge, a TV (my kids... More

Just returned from Pedras da Rainha. The complex consists of varying sizes of self contained accommodation, all with some outside space, either terrace or balcony. The grounds are pleasant and well maintained and quiet; no big noisy groups; mixture of nationalities, many Portugese holidaymakers. Nice pool, quiet bar and restaurant. Beach reached by boat which is complimentary for holidaymakers from... More

Cave like room needed 3 efforts to fix bathroom light. Cats kept us awake most nights and early mornings. Cleaners very loud each morning. Although staff in most were polite. This is a sprawling development and maybe other flats are diffrent but ours was tired to say the least and sat tv nearly fell off wall. Pool small.Tavira is very quiet... More
