This property has wonderful staff, a beautiful entrance and delightful flourishes (chocolates strewn everywhere and cakes). However, the bed is really uncomfortable and the rooms are tiny. The stair carpet is stained and the reception is left open (even when your bags are stored before/after check in). Unfortunately, you can hear other guests and noise if someone talks outside. I... One building in a private, exclusive courtyard has been turned into a lovely, very cosy Bed and Breakfast. Marie is friendly and very helpful, making you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The rooms are quite small but that's no problem, as they are very comfortable and have a great feel to them. Included were fresh cakes waiting, home... More

We are in the midst of a three day stay and can not imagine a more positive experience. Marie is wonderful. So far she has arranged a doctor appointment, recommended several wonderful meals at locals' favorite places, helped us sort out local transport, warned us off the tourist traps and become a trusted advisor on all things "Freo". We spent... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B and we were delighted to be upgraded to the Dufyken Room. The room was small but equipped with everything we needed, including fresh cakes, cookies, chocolates and cereal. It is conventiently located in the heart of Fremantle, close to the market and good restaurants. We were able to park our car... More

Convenient, clean, and extremely well-run hotel. Was on business and felt very much at home. They even gave me a takeaway breakfast since i had a very early flight. Only negative, and not really a begative but a "be aware" is minor parking hassle, but this is out of control of hotel (try the 24 hr covered garage, blue and... More

We booked 2 nights here based on reviews I had read online, and didn't regret it at all. The rooms are small, but beautifully and simply appointed. We loved being able to open those doors and look out over that gorgeous shared courtyard, which made me feel like I was back in Europe! The history of the building is interesting,... More

We got the last room here at late notice and arrived at midnight - maria had given us really clear instructions but had decided to wait up to let us in anyway. There was a midnight snack waiting for us in our room which was very appreciated - she also let us sort out the paperwork the next day so... More

We stayed here three nights in November 2012. We reserved on the web and selected the least expensive room. It was great. The room was small but well equipped, pleasant and spotless. It had a small balcony with no view, but it let the sun and air in and was a nice feature. The bathroom was fine and even had... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, at start of Western Australia tour, because we wanted somewhere to chill out. Fremantle lifestyle is 'horizontal' and suited us fine. B&B location couldn't be more central. Greeted by Marie, who lived up to expectations. Couldn't have been more helpful or cheerful - a delight! Our room was on first floor, with small balcony overlooking... More
