Good location, easy walking to town, owners very friendly and accommodating. Motor bike friendly (they locked our bikes in the shed), provided ice for our drinks!! Also put on an early breakfast as we had an early ferry. We would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay in this accomodation, the room was a good size with King size bed and ensuite. The only down side of the ensuite was that the basin was a bit small. Rosemary was an excellent hostess and catered for our needs, in particular a gluten free breakfast for myself. Rosemary prepared breakfast early for us on the... More

We booked this well in advance and even phoned ahead to discuss preferences eg Q size bed, ensuite. Despite this, the room we were given was quite small and the bed was really only a double (perhaps NZ measures differently? ) The street light outside was intrusive as the curtains were not blockout and the movement from rooms upstairs above... Our stay over in Picton was just to short the only complaint we had. The Hotel met our every requirement and Picton is a gret spot for total relaxation walking, water sport or boat tripping. There are numerous and very reasonable resteraunts, pubs serving good food and fast food. We like many others just stopped over for the one night... More

Negatives: We chose this accomodation because the description (in the NZ B&B Book) led us to believe that as a house built in 1925 for a doctor, it would have history - the outside was as expected, the inside had little or no history more than ten years old! Led through a breeze block hallway with rooms off was off... More

We stayed both before and after our Queen Charlotte tramp. The stay on both occasions was extremely good. The bathroom wasn't huge but the rooms and whole B&B is very clean and well maintained. We could not have asked for any more - help with getting our washing up together, keeping our luggage while on the tramp and on our... More

We recently decided to tramp the Queen Charlotte Track and stayed at Marineland B&B in Picton at start and finish of our walk. The owners Rosemary and Peter couldn't have been more helpful and my wife and I both felt that their level of service and accommodation offered was exceptionally good value. One our first night we stayed in a... More

My wife and I spent one night at the Marineland B&B in Picton after catching the ferry from Wellington. Rosemary the owner was very friendly and welcoming on our arrival. We were in a deluxe room on the ground floor. The room was small, but comfy enough for the two of us. It had a double bed which, soft and... More

We were a family of 5 adults traveling and on a whim decided to stay overnight in Picton so we could take a day trip on the Marlborough Sounds. Rosemary, lady in charge was able to kindly supply us at short notice three rooms downstairs with ensuites. The rooms were a little on the spartan side, but very clean and... More

What a find, and 6 relaxed comfortable, friendly days and nights. Marineland not only offered us with all we needed but we enjoyed a fantastic rate too. Exceptional value for money. The owners are present at all times and the efficiency and standards are maintained as a result of their attention. Marineland also has a good sized pool, laundry and... More
