It's difficult to add any more superlatives to what other reviewers have said. Whatamonga was the second homestay of our trip, and that set the bar extremely high! Colette was helpfulness personified, and we would loved to have stayed forever. We couldn't fault a thing if we tried. Thank you Colette for a wonderful stay!

Whatamonga Homestay is just beautiful as you can see from the photos. The stand-alone rooms are very clean and spacious and have a lovely balcony. The rooms in the house are on a separate level with their own external entry. There is a small fridge and microwave as well as a small bar sink in the freestanding units. Dishes are... More

Fantastic photos. It is so hard to capture the amazing view from Whatamonga , but the photos you have posted are excellent. Thanks so much for going to all that trouble. Colette enjoyed meeting you and being your host. She finds the casual breakfast gatherings in the house a great way to really get to know her guests. Hopefully it... More

We spent two nights here and we were so pleased with our stay, we didn't want to leave. Everything was perfect! Colette is so lovely, she had even left us out some yummy home made Christmas cake for when we arrived. Her breakfasts were fantastic, and more than enough. The facilities were great, everything we needed. A very clean and... More

We spent 2 nights here in March 2013 and were very pleased with it. Private villa accommodation with spacious room, kitchen facilities, en suite and secure parking. The hostess lives in the house a few metres away and invited us in for a chat in the evening. Her breakfasts were delicious, plentiful and littered with homemade goodies. Yum. It was... More

A few minutes driving from central Picton, just after Karaka Point, you can find this beautiful homestay, surrounded by nature and featuring stunning views of the sounds. Our separate unit was large, bright, perfectly appointed and very peaceful. Free private parking is available just outside the unit. There are also a small beach (at low tide) and a jetty. Colette... We stayed here at Whatamonga Homestay for three days around my birthday in February. It was my first visit to New Zealand and everything was beautiful, but those three days were sublime. Standing on the balcony and taking in the scene, and the sounds, or the silence, morning and night - or anytime in between - was breathtaking. Colette is... More
