My wife and I were part of a hiking group that spent two nights in Picton. We arrived on the Interislander Ferry a day early, in order to enjoy kayaking in the Queen Charlotte Sound, so our total was three nights at the Beachcomber.
The Inn is very close to Picton harbor, and it was about a three minute walk...

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Our 'double' room was huge, with two double beds and a little kitchenette. It was a bit odd that there was no sink in the bathroom, though, and we had to wash our hands and brush our teeth at the kitchen sink, but other than this the room was great - clean, spacious...

We were in Picton on the evening of Saturday the 21st January, the beachcomber was our tours stop for the night. Picton is not too big a place and the hotel is not far from the shops or the harbour. We arrived on a very sunny afternoon and to my dismay the sun was flooding into our allocated room, no...

We arrived without booking and were attracted to this central hotel by a sign saying "We aren't as expensive as we look"! The relief manager gave us a great friendly welcome, let us check in early and gave a reasonable price of $125 for 3 Adults staying in a good size studio room on the second floor. The room was...

One night stay in picton and needing something close to town we chose the beachcomber. The room we had was on the second level overlooking the marina and pool. Very sunny clean room and the only thing showing its age was the wardrobe and seratone (older pattern) behind the bath. Receptionist was pleasant and cheerful and even though there was...

I was initially staying at a very seedy B&B, paying top price and hating it. Across the road the Beachcomber had a sign stating "we arent as expensive as we look"! So I enquired, and booked, and never looked back. What a surprise!
A huge studio containing king bed and a single discreetly tucked away at the side, a huge...

Good place to stay with great views of the harbour. Pleasant staff. Didn't try the restaurant. Picton is a great visit with very good coffee and food in the local restaurants and cafes. Can make your own tea and coffee but no plates for anything else.
Our ferry arrived at 930pm and we walked with luggage from the terminal to the hotel in about 12 mins with no problem, just a bit bumpy until you hit the main road.
Reception had closed by that time and we found our room key in an envelope (with instructions) sticky taped to the front door. Rather trusting of them...

This inn was delightful and located for walking about town. We were able to shop for groceries, find a reataurant and enjoy the delightful residents we met along the street. Comfortable room, and views from all windows. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She gave us tips and directions for the places we wanted to see. She also...
