This is my first review of a holiday but I felt I had to say something about our experiences at the Palm Beach 'Luxury' Bungalow. And there lies the problem- the description 'luxury' implies a sumptuous experience with added attention to detail. Imagine my surprise then when we arrived at the 'bungalow' which is a glorified prefab hut, with tatty... More

Im not much into reviews but this is the one place, that has a special place in my eyes. This was probably one of the most romatic, relaxed and tranquiel places I have ever been in. My girlfriend and I spent two nights here and we were lucky enough to be spending one part of our night in the Bali... More

My husband and I has spent our 9th wedding annivarsary at Tree Tops Bungalow. We chose Treetops as it was the cheapest of the bungalows. Looking at other accommodation around Waiheke we felt that even luxury bungalow was still more affordable than most of the other available rentals elsewhere. The booking went smoothly and was handled very professionally by Brenda,... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in the Mud Brick Bungalow for our 12th Wedding Anniversary November 2012. We had a wonderful stay. The bungalow was very quaint and quirky. I loved it. The setting is wonderful, a great bush backdrop and very handy to townships and beaches, restaurants etc. The hosts were considerate and discreet. The... More

My partner and I stayed at the palm beach bungalows on our summer break early this year. We were amazed at how beautiful the place was.We booked the luxury bungalow and found it very very peaceful and extremely romantic. The Bali Bath night was amazing as we relaxed together with wine under the stars. The trees that surrounded our bungalow were delightful,the... First of all I want to say Petrina and Sarah I can’t believe that those are your thoughts…. As Des states, staying in the woods is bound to mean that there would be a few spiders along the way! I think unfortunately you guys just seemed to have picked the wrong place for your expectations. Myself and my partner visited... More

I absolutely loved staying here, I have no idea what anyone would complain about. it was the nicest place to stay. I would have lived here till I was old n grey if I could afford it. I genuinely saw a lady who was using her wealth to create special memories for others, a very generous deed.

Des and Anne. reviews seem vastly differant from one author to the next. personely i found the Mud Brick house at the Bungalows a quaint little place. sure the staircase is steep but this, i found, added to the quirkiness of the house and was a source of entertainment. most of what Petrina is saying is indeed true and i... We had booked for 6 nights in the Tree House.. but the owner urged us to stay a night in the Mudbrick as everything was booked with waiting lists. We arrived late afternoon and struggled down a slippery mould covered steep pathway to the "bungalow". Our attempts to gain access to the sleeping loft via a narrow rickety wooden stairway... More

In 2002 when we first opened our doors to romantics and lovers, there were over 200 accommodation places on Waiheke Island. We knew in order to succeed we would have to differentiate ourselves. Romance was a very niche and big call. We feel blessed with over 4000 couples who have shared our dream. Photographers with models, writetups in magazines, 2010... More

We had very high expectations of this place given the photos on the website.Walking into the room we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of dampness and mustiness. There were spider webs(with spiders) everywhere and the place looked like it hadn't been dusted or cleaned in years. The walls were green and the carpet was old, dirty and red.The duvet and... More
