The Embassy Row, is aging and it is beginning to show. We booked this hotel on a special rate which was not bad, had I paid full price for it I would have been questioning the value for money. The elevators in the hotel are very slow and creaky, everything has the feel of a property that needs refurbishment, then... More

The location is the best about this hotel. It is on embassy row, 3 min walking from the Dupont circle and Dupont metro. The rooms are large and quite good standard, especially considering the price - I would estimate it to 20-30% below other hotels at Dupont circle. They have a pool on the roof, but it was closed -... The best thing about this hotel is the location! Located conveniently to shopping, Dupont station, restaurants and nightlife, it could not get better than this one. The rooms however, are a little lackluster and old. Our bathroom was just literally a hole in the wall. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Knowing the pros and cons, I would totally... More

I had no surprises at this hotel. I read the reviews, and I'm simply echoing what others have said. This was obviously once a great hotel. Its not threadbare, just a little tattered. The rooms are small and the property shows a lack of some long-term maintenance. However, there are some nice details. The shampoos and soaps are much better... More

I stayed for 4 nights and have no regrets. Rooms are clean. Sheets are clean and neat. Bathrooms are spotless. Location is perfect. One block from the Metro at Dupont. Tons of places to eat. Night Life. Shops. Clean and safe. Breakfast is good. Staff is wonderful - especially John B (Best restaurant recommendations ever!) The cleaning folks are super... More

Thank you for the kind words. I have let the appropriate parties know about the location of the toaster. Glad you like the restaurants and there is plenty more to choose from in the District; especially Dupont Circle. Hope to have you back again soon. Got a great rate through booking.com. The room is quiet and pleasant. Our first room smelled of smoke, and we called the front desk. We had a new room in under five minutes. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room on lower level is comfortable, with the usual selection of cereals, yogurt, and pastries. One nice touch:... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in mid April for a break before going to Las Vegas. It was booked as a surprise so I had no prior knowledge or had not read any TA comments. The hotel is at Dupont Circle which is a residential neighborhood. Restaurants, shops and the Metro are right there. It is so easy to travel all over the city from there. The rooms are average, but clean. Bed, TV, Wifi, Refrigerator, Room Safe, Windows that open : all good. Drawback #1- The walls are paperthin and I could hear my... More

The Embassy Row Hotel was perfect for our weekend in DC with another couple. We were greeted on our first night with a bottle of wine and two wonderful cupcakes! The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A nice breakfast buffet was offerred in the dining room, several floors had ice machines and one floor had... More
