I recently spent one night at the GWUI, and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms! There was a living room, bedroom and kitchen area, which would be great if you're staying in town for a week long visit. There is a 7 Eleven store a block away, that has all kinds of snacks that you would want... More

This inn is on a quiet residential street and is a short walk to the Kennedy Center, the university, Georgetown and a metro station. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The towels were thick. The tub and tiles needed an update. Employees were friendly and helpful. We could clearly hear the people in the next room. The lobby... More

The GWU Inn isn't the fanciest or most up-to-date, but the location and service are great and it's incredibly clean. Just a bit over 1 blk from the Foggy Bottom Metro, new restaurants and a Whole Foods Market nearby, a short walk to the Kennedy Center and reasonable pricing. I liked the dark curtains for a long sleep.

The people who work here are exceptionally nice, and the rooms are spotless, though its an older building. Parking is available by valet at $20+ per day. The metro stop is about 3 blocks away to get you anywhere you need to go. No reason not to stay here, though prices are about average for downtown DC. Continental breakfast available... More

We stayed here, largely in part due to a colleague's recommendation. Whilst the hotel may not be the most modern, it's in a great location and very close to Foggy Bottom Metro. We managed quite well as a family of four with five cases to and from the airport using the metro and found that we could walk to the... More

On a college trip my family stayed here and were very happy with the accomodation. After traveling on my daughter realized that she had left a small jewelery box in our hotel room. We called the hotel and they mailed the items back to our home address. We were delighted and surprised that they would go to this trouble and... More

Service and facilities were always a step behind. The hotel used to be very nice, and I booked the GWU Inn out of curiosity after not having stayed there for several years. The ground floor restaurant is quite good, a trendy Italian place, though pricey. The rest of the hotel is barely average. There is no detectable bell service, so... More

The Mtero and resturants within walking distance make this hotel. The rooms really need a make over and towels need replacing. For the week we went, their price was very good. But the giant stain in the living room carpet leftan unfavorable impression every time we entered the room. Staff was very nice.

Stayed here for 4 nights for a busy convention so location was the primary selection driver. Small hotel in residential area adjacent to GWU. Great things: Easily walkable to Georgetown, M Street nightlife & dining and Kennedy Center where meeting was held. Every room has a fridge and a microwave plus coffee maker which is useful. Room was spacious with... More

This hotel is just two blocks from the Foggy Bottom Metro station and George Washington University. The Kennedy Center is a ten-minute walk, or there's a free shuttle from Foggy Bottom. Fifteen minutes of walking gets you into Georgetown and Washington Harbor, and of course with the Metro so close, the entire city is accessible. The rooms are mostly spacious,... More
