After last year's stay I had no qualms about coming here again. Our room this time was a lot smaller and looked out into a brick wall. Not the best, but you don't come to Washington to spend a lot of time in your hotel room. Room was still clean with spotless linen and loads of fresh towels but AC... More

This hotel is in a good location not far from many attractions, unfortunately the Lobby was smelly and dirty. The first night the bathroom was dirty with lots of mold around the bath, next day it was cleaned with a strong smelling cleaner that took our breath away for the rest of our stay. This hotel really needs renovation and a... More

Clean. Cheap for the location. We had a tiny room with a queen bed, fine for a married couple with hardly any luggage. That said, the hotel is old and tired. The lobby smells bad, the air conditioning system in the room is eye-brow raising, and the TV was junk. Food service: Olly's restaurant is just a burger place. The... More

Really old hotel. Everything smells funny in here. Really small bedroom. Bathroom really small too. Confort bed. Very thin walls, so I could hear everything. The hotel needs lots of renovations. At least some repair asap. Specially in the room I were. I am giving two stars because of the location which was super close from the Old Town Trolley... More

We found this hotel in hotelcoupons.com, there was a coupon for a good rate + free parking in the heart of D.C.. The hotel is about 95 years old so don't expect any bells & whistles, it is nothing fancy, but it is safe, clean and comfortable. It is in walking distance to everything (2-8 blocks) the Metro, the National Mall, the White... More

Located smack-dam in downtown DC, this hotel has a fantastic location. Beyond that, our stay felt like we were in a time machine, in a bad way. The bed was fine, but the rooms and the hotel themselves felt tremendously worn-in and a bit dated in terms of decor. Beyond that, the service was good and the hotel was fairly... More

It has a great location, that's why this hotel doesn't get a lower rating. But if you don't mind threadbare sheets, lousy beds, institutional bathrooms, dirty carpets, noisy guests, lights that don't work, microscopic TVs, no shelves in bathrooms, no shampoo in the shower, and the smelly lobby that others have mentioned, this is your hotel. Feels like one step... More

Cheapest hotel we found near our conference. Surprised and pleased that the price of one room got each of us our own room and bath. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the area was safe--lots of folks out at all hours. I will stay here with my family the next time we go to DC.
