This is a good hotel in DC. I will recommend it specially for its location right next to The White House. I think it is a great location during the week when you have more businesses open. On weekends it is a bit quiet and most shops are closed. The Hotel itself is an old building and if you are... More

I stay at the Willard periodically. The WIllard is right next to the White House, and is an excellent hotel, with wonderful character (very nice wood paneling, highly ceilings, etc.). Service is excellent, and the French Restaurant has a good menu. Location-wise, being next to the White House has advantages and disadvantages. It is close to several tourist and business... More

I just returned from a 3 stay in this hotel with my husband and mother in law. We had adjacent rooms and both were large, modern and very comfortable. The staff were great - very patient and helpful. As previous reviewers have noted, this is a historic hotel with a spectacular lobby. We enjoyed the lobby ambience, especially the live... More

I had a quick business trip to DC and only spent a night, but the Willard, as usual, was awesome. There is a lot of history with this hotel, but the amenities are as modern as they come. The lobby is beautiful, striking and rich with history. The rooms are large and bathrooms are modern with marble and high end... More

It is very hard to fault this old classic. From the moment you walk into the hotel’s lobby to the moment you leave there isn’t much about this hotel you can fault. The two standard outs for me were the hotel’s location, right on Pennsylvania Avenue and particularly next door to the White House; and breakfast, all class but delivered... More

We had a Jr. Suite on the top floor room 1200. From our room we could see a quarter of the White House and the Washington and Jefferson Memorials. Our room was great. We had a parlor and separate bedroom with a marble bath with tub and shower. I spent alot of time checking out hotels in Washington and could... More

This hotel is worth it for the lobby and Peacocke Alley and it's closeness to everything.Staff were attentive, helpful and amiable.I was very disappointed that afternoon tea is only served on set days but worse than that is the fact that this is not written up any where.

We had one of the newly renovated suites on the top floor. Gorgeously decorated but the one next to the lift shaft is noisy. We were moved to one further away and it was perfect. This is now one of my top hotels in the world - great atmosphere, fantastic concierge service, beautiful room with spectacular views of the Washington... More

The hotel is incredibly well located - near sites , restaurants and Metro. I was there on business so I am not sure about "value". The rooms were well appointed but walls seemed thin and I had a couple of leaky bathroom fixtures. The staff was helpful. Lobby and business office need an update. The daily paper was awesome and... The hotel has an old time charm if one is into this (I do not). The service is excellent and the light dinner at the outdoors resturant was very good my room was small but comfortable. It felt old although many amanties were updated. I guess it was not my style but otherwise it's a good hotel for this price... More
