“Lower your expectations for all of Avalon.”

During peak season, I paid $100 a night to stay in the Henry room. It's too bad I have to leave this review. I don't think a place like Buena Vista could stay in business if this wasn't a very small island with such limited "independent" competition. You won't find a chain here. And normal hotel standards are swept out... More

It's not bad. It's not good either, but it's not bad. It's easy to find, if you know the lay of the land already, but be warned your phone's GPS might be thrown off a little due to the road layout, but if you simply walk the waterfront from the harbor to the via casino bus stop, then turn left... “Don't expect much.........”

Price is right but be PREPARED as the place is really run down. Room smelled of mold, stained industrial carpet, mold smell in room. The bed was hard and the bathroom light/fan was so loud you had to yell to talk over it (needed repair). Toilet backed up and there was no plunger in room. We stayed in the Lyle... More

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel on the island, which I thought did not exist, until I found the Buena Vista.
