I was visiting Apalachicola for business purposes. I must admit that, prior to visiting, I was bemoaning the fact that I would not be collecting Hilton Honors points as there were no Hilton brand hotels anywhere in the vicinity. Based on a friend's recommendation, I decided to try something different and I stayed at the Coombs House Inn... and I... More

The place is certainly pricey, but it's a great stay if you enjoy the B&B places. Our room was #11 and was a great size for 2. The bed was comfy. The AC was broken when we got there, so they put a window unit in our room until they could get the AC fixed. Kind of loud, better than... More

I have never visited this area of FL. Two dear friends were getting married at her family's beach home about 25 miles away. They suggested Coombs House Inn and I am happy that they did! Wonderful breakfasts! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Pretty and squeaky clean room. Walking distance to shopping and dining. Would definitely recommend to others and I... More

We stayed at the Coombs House Inn Villas for two nights in May on part of our wedding anniversary trip. The inn keepers are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The house we stayed at was very well kept, and the room, #16, was gorgeous. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in.... More

My husband and I took 2 friends from Turkey to stay, twice, at the Coombs House. The inn is lovely--very West Florida as it once was. The staff were fabulous. We were stuck in a terrible traffic jam and ended up hours later that we thought. The inn helped us find a wonderful restaurant (Owl Cafe) that took 4 very... More

We have been to Apalachicola several times over the last few years usually going to the Seafood Festival. We always pass by the Coombs House and I said I would love to stay there. We booked a fishing trip last week and also booked a room at Coombs House. It is such a lovely bed and breakfast house. When I... More

What a lovely hotel!! Delicious breakfast! The place is like out of a historic movie. Beautiful rooms, nice porch. It was a great pleasure to stay there! If you have a chance go there!! Our room was on the ground floor to the street side which has only little traffic and had a huge queen size bed. The room was... More

Turning up in Apalachicola (November 2010, Tripadvisor won't let me put this date in?!) with nowhere to stay and arriving on a very busy seafood festival weekend we were very lucky to have managed to find the last room available at the Coombs House Inn. Our bedroom was beautiful, breakfast was superbly delicious & following breakfast we sat on the... More

Coming from England we wanted to experience all aspects of American life, both past and present and learning about the history of the building as well as talking to fellow guests was just wonderful. If you want slick Hilton style accommodation then this place is not for you. If you want to sit on the porch and chat, accept that... More
