Nice hotel right on the river. Our room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. Screened porch on the back of the room overlooked the river. One free drink and a free breakfast come with the room. They have two different restaurants depending on the cost and type of dining you are looking for. I would stay here again.

Room had 70's decor - functional and comfortable....so okay, but once you step outside its awesome. Beautful location, abundant birdlife, the occasional dolpin and mantee (or dugong)..all to seen from the porch, or walking to and from the restaurant, bar and breakfast areas. Local oysters are simply magnificent...even for breakfast. We stayed 1 night on our way from New Orleans... More

One night stay 5-19-12, felt like the room is very over priced for what you get. There was a group of six motorcycle riders checking in and we had to wait 15 minutes as the desk clerk was more concerned with selling T shirts to two young ladies than our check in. The rooms and bath were clean and neat,... More

Allows pets, all sorts of restaurants nearby. BTW very pet friendly town.Never had a bad experience. We stay on bottom floor(Dock Level) and love to have a rum and coke and sit on the deck for sunset. Have been back twice.

On our way from Miami baack to the Blue Ridge Mountains, we try to stop at the Apalachicola River Inn. This time we had a queen room with a lovely wicker setee and rocking chair. This room was really wonderful and cozy. We had our two Mini daschunds with us and they just loved it too. It was wonderful to... More

We stayed a the Apalachicola River Inn during the last week of March, 2012. We have room 15, which is on the second floor just a little to the left of the restaurant (Caroline's). Although the restaurant closes about 10:00, I would suggest a room with a higher number (i.e., further from the restaurant) to have a slightly better view... More

This inn is just delightful. My ranking is for Apilachicola, you can't compare it with or expect the Ritz here. The rooms on the second floor are wonderful, with one of the most pristine views you could hope for from a a wonderful screened in porch. Its lovely to watch the shrimp boats go by. The room we stayed in... More

We stayed at the River Inn one night in Feb. It is a cool, funky motel-type facility but the rooms are nice and clean and we had a screed balcony overlooking the river. Carolyn's Restaurant was very good for dinner; the Oysters Rockafeller are good.

Really had a nice time here. We had great weather and there is so much to do in the area. The room is a little pricey but the gorgeous view, 2 drink tickets, and 2 breakfast tickets each day certainly made it worth it to us. The small 2nd floor screened balcony was a great place to sit and have... More

We were on a roadtrip through Florida and needed a room in Apalachicola. It was a delightful surprise to find the River Inn. Our large, clean room had a screened-in private porch facing the river. The kind-size bed had nice linens, and the bathroom had been recently updated. It would have been perfect if a mini frig had been included.... More
