We are so happy we chose to stay at Leeside Rooms (through Caye Caulker Rentals). When we arrived on Caye Caulker and got off the water taxi, a golf cart taxi was waiting for us to welcome us and to take us and our bags to our accommodations. The room was very clean, cool and spacious with lovely local art.... More

Since my last visit, Leeside Rooms has had a facelift! The rooms are freshly painted and decorated with local art and furniture! The upstairs two bedroom with additional loft/bedroom is now available for rent. The upstairs house makes a perfect location for families or three couples to enjoy! There are still free bike and kayak rentals. The water system has... More

We have been returning to Caye Caulker for 5 years, and love staying at Leeside on the sunset side of island, with great views of the water on their private dock, not to mention the fantastic sunsets, and the peace and quiet! Use of bikes and kayaks are an added plus. The rooms come complete with microwave, toaster, coffee maker,... More

The rooms are spacious, clean and competitively priced. But let's cut to the chase - the beach and newly-extended dock are incredible. There are only 2 rooms at Leeside, and while we were there, we had the small sand beach and dock to ourselves most of the time. The beach is a perfect mixture of sun and shade, and gives... More

LeeSide rooms is a rare find on the island of Caye Caulker. Location, Location, Location. It is situated on the quiet side of the island, mostly protected from the strong wind that bashes the party side. It’s literally a 2minute walk to the other side and you’re in buzz of it all. Right next door to Belize Dive Services –... More

We had a great room at Leeside. Very clean, great comfy bed, TV (not that we wanted it), AC (nice cause you don't get the ocean breezes from the windier side of the island), microwave, cutlery, toaster, dishes, and bikes that mostly worked and a kayak. Tom, the owner of the house, had had one kayak stolen just before we... More

We stay at Leeside Rooms each year for the month of March, and love staying on the backside of the island of Caye Caulker with great views of the water, not to mention the fantastic sunsets, and the peace and quiet! Use of bikes and kayak are an added plus. The owner, Tom, is quite the character and does everything... More

My sister and I stayed at Lee Side Rooms during our time on Caye Caulker and had a truly wonderful experience there. The rooms are located on the quieter, more peaceful side of the island, still only a few minutes walk to the stores and bars which was perfect for us. The room we stayed in was really nice with... I love the location, secluded on the backside yet on the water, fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, comfortable clean rooms and padded mattress. Oh and TV is nice with cable! I am a diver so it is super convenient as it is a few steps away from Belize Dive Services, which is also the best dive service on Caye Caulker! The owner... More

Good location but sleep would have been appreciated if the owner, guy living above room, did not have a dog barking at people all night. Still good value, service, and bikes/kayaks were nice.

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the dog barking. The dog is there to guard both the property and the guests. We try our best to minimize any unnecessary barking to reduce the noise disturbance. We are glad to hear that you otherwise had a nice stay and would love to see you here again! More

Leeside Rooms include two waterfront efficiency units and a three bedroom two-level house located just north of the water taxi pier on the quiet lee side of the village - right next door to Belize Diving Services. From Caye Caulker it is a 40 minute water taxi ride to the mainland of Belize where guests can enjoy zip-lining, cave tubing, explore Mayan ruins, eco-tour, deep sea fish, snorkel, dive, visit the zoo - or just read a book and relax. :) Our guests enjoy cleanliness, comfort, beautiful sunsets and an abundance of exotic marine life just outside the door...We are encouraging a small marine sanctuary which is emerging right at the Leeside dock area. Without even getting in the water you can enjoy observing black spiny urchins, sea horses, the odd-looking batfish, sting rays, juvenile barricuda, red snapper, crabs, infant conch, herons, egrets, and a host of other marine life in their natural habitat. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, snorkeling, sunning on the dock, or just relax and read a book on on the shady part of the beach. ... more   less
