I took the Belize Adventure Week trip in April and had an absolutely great time. Half of the trip is inland at the mountain region (Cayo District) and the other half is at Slickrock’s private Island. I traveled solo but never felt alone. Our group was small, just 4 guests, but with us was one of the Island guides as... More

If you want the true out island adventure experience this is the place and bring your A game! Will not bother repeating the description of this idealic paradise island setting, but will say the staff is great, they keep everything top notch and in order. Food was perfect! You are at the mercy of the weather, it pretty well influences... More

I don't want to repeat too much of what I agree with from the previous positive experiences with Slickrock on Long Caye so I will address things that may have concerned me before I went there. 1. Water- I was a little worried that in April the rain water supply would be low or undrinkable....no worries, there was plenty of... More

Our family of four (two young teens) has been to Long Caye two times. We absolutely love it. When you imagine a tropical vacation, this island is just that. The shades of blue in the sea and sky, the white beach, the green trees, the warm water and air are picture perfect at Long Caye. We like the short flight... More

We loved everything about Long Caye resort(slickrock) their guides are amasing friedly folks the facilities were rustic and very well looked after. If your not into crowds or sitting on your butt waiting for your 1 hour to use the sit-on top kayak that most resorts offer ,this is you kind of place .They have a large assortment of equipment... We just returned from the 9 day vacation at Glover's Reef on Slickrock's private island. My husband and I travelled with our two sons, ages 10 and 13. To put it simply the week was magical! All four of us had a phenomenal time. Our guide, Marc, took excellent care of us the entire time. We got to enjoy a... More

From the moment we entered the Glover's reef atoll I knew we were in paradise. The water was the brightest blue imagineable. When the boat pulled up to the dock we were greeted by Lucy (one of the owners) and the extemely friendly and knowledgeable staff. A tour of the island revealed some very creative ecofriendly facilities. Rainwater collected from... More

I just got back from my week on the island and am still walking on clouds. I have very high expectations for the places I go from spending many years as a guide in Alaska, and this place just blew me away. From the island itself to the food and activities everything was top notch. My highest praise however, goes... More

I just got back from the island and all I can say is Epic! This place had great food, views and people. You can be as lazy as you want and lay in a hammock all day looking out into the crystal clear waters or spend all day on the waters snorkeling, diving, kayaking, surfing, wind surfing, kite boarding, stand... My husband and I are longtime campers, windsurfers and prefer to be outside rather than anywhere else in life! I never knew we could find such an experience in the warm climes of Belize. The wind was low so we ventured into all the other offerings that we had never tried before. So many of our past trips we spent... More
