We stayed here for 5 days in July 2011. The location was excfellent for exploring the whole Cayo area. We rented a jeep and did most of the exploring on our own - but we did arrange a cave canoeing day trip with the resort and had a great time. Our thatched roof cottage was spacious and clean - nothing... More

We stayed in a family cabana for 3 nights. Our cabin was simple and clean. There was no air conditioning but the ceiling fans cooled down the room just fine in the evening. The family that owns the Crystal Paradise was very welcoming and helpful about helping us plan activities while we were there. They were in no way pushy... More

We stayed here just a couple of nights, but would liked to have stayed longer and done more trips. The grounds were very nice. The thatched cabanas were nice. It is in the "jungle" of sorts, so insects are to be expected. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The owners would come and chat with guests at supper time.... More

We found the accommodations to be very adequate and a great value. We were attracted to the place because of its peaceful setting and the fact that is owned and operated by a Belizean family. Family style meals provided the opportunity to experience local foods and socialize with other guests. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the family warm and... More

After reading all the great reviews, we decided to stay here for 5 nights as part of our vacation. It was a perfect place to stay while visiting Mayan ruins, canoeing, hiking, and admiring all the beautiful birds. I depend strongly on reviews from Trip Advisor so thanks to all for helping us find the perfect place. More

We stayed at Crystal Paradise Resort for two nights as part of an eight day birding tour of Belize arranged by Jeronie Tut of Crystal Paradise (BirdingInBelize.com). The resort was wonderful. A serene park-like setting in the hills near San Ignacio in western Belize. The accommodations were excellent, cute thatched-roof cottages with great views. The food was wonderfully prepared home-style... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Crystal Paradise and didn't want to leave. The Tut family was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Carolita makes absolutely delicious food and it was so fun to sit down to breakfast and dinner without knowing what feast awaited us each time. The dining room is communal, so we also had the... I stayed here for about a week for a school trip, and while we did not spend much time at the actual resort (we were out doing tours and excursions all day usually), the time we did have there was great. The Tut family is very knowledgeable and hospitable. The surrounding forest was beautiful and we saw some great birds.... More

I have used Crystal Paradise for two years for college study abroad programs. It works unbelizeably well! They can put together a program that includes natural history, Mayan ruins, reefs, traditional medicine and healing, homestays and cimmunity service. He is easy to work with, reliable, orgainized, and on budget. The staff is amazing at accommodating student dietary needs. It is... More
