I was there early Nov 2009 (not in Feb 2011!!) for an overnight stay. I was there with a large group (40+) and the hotelier accommodated us after some negotiation on price and availability. There are large rooms with triple decker bunks, or private rooms with tv, washroom, and anywhere from 1-3 beds. I can't recall if there was a/c.... More

The hostel is close to the airport. If you take a taxi from the bus station, be aware that it will cost you around ten dollars. The hotel is very nice though. It is great value and the owners are extremely nice. They would do anything to make my stay comfortable and gave me great advices for my travels in... More

Fast WiFi and delicious food. I recommend the chicken sandwich. Spent a couple hours each day (of a 4-day stay) exploring the surrounding neighborhoods on foot and felt perfectly safe, even at night. While checking out I said I was planning to walk to the airport but instead the manager offered to drive me. All in all a lovely place... More

I really enjoyed my stay in Casa Santorini. Someone complained about cold showers but that is not true, in the hotel room that we took, the water was hot. The size of the hotel rooms are not small, they are normal and very comfortable even with two beds (one small and one queen). The washroom is big too. In that... More

Don't fall for the fast talk of the enthusiastic English speaking promoter/driver of this place who tries to lure arriving passengers at GUA Aurora Airport to this place - he promised higher floor rooms that were not delivered. The staff gave us the pick of 3 ground floor rooms - two back rooms reeked of mold and were small, and... More

First, let me say that the staff here are wonderful. They let me arrive very early in the day and since my flight left early the next morning, they let me eat my free breakfast (yummy!) for dinner that night. The reason I chose to stay here was the free taxi to the airport, which is literally 2 minutes away.... More

This is your classic backpacker hostel, but I still recommend it. Great location, reliable service and kept clean. I did have a problem with the internet connection. They said they have wireless, but I could not get the security key. Nobody there even knew that they had a wireless connection in-house! In fact, I don't even think anyone there even... More

The manager Jorge was welcoming and accommodating. Celeste, who helps out, is a sweet heart! I would highly recommend this hostel/hotel to anyone, especially to women traveling alone. I feel safe here. It's clean-for Guatemala - and I'm a clean freak! The top patio has a fantastic view and free wifi throughout which is necessary for my line of work.... More

George the owner is a lovely guy who will look after his guests with a big smile, and is always happy to go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good stay. For example'he will pick you up from the airport if you ask, which is very helpful at no extra charge. The hostel is gorgeous with good... More

Staying in Zona 13 is nice when you need to catch an early flight, as this is literally where the airport is. There's nothing else but residences there, and it's difficult finding a place to eat. About the place itself, it's a house, run by Jorge, the owner, and his mother. The owner will therefore look after you personally, always... More
