We had a wonderful time at Skyline View Cabins! We rented both cabins for 7 adults and 3 children, and had plenty of room. The grandchildren loved the wooden fenced sidewalk that runs between the cabins for tricycles, and we felt they were very safe. The cabins are super clean and beautifully decorated, and seem brand new. The landscaping is... More

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 14 and 17) stayed in cabin 1. Everyone agrees this is one of the best accomadations we have ever stayed in. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. We headed to southern IL to get away from all the noise and fast paced life of Chicago. We didn't hear a sound, only the... More

My husband and I have stayed at a lot of bed and breakfast, resorts and cabins. The price is great for all the amenities this offers. I am sure it is beautiful in the fall! I enjoyed all of the art work as well. By the way, Jan, my husband and I have started a hobby from your idea hanging... More

My husband and I wanted to spend a few days on the wine trail so I decided to rent a cabin in the area instead of going the hotel route. I am SO GLAD I did. We stayed in Cabin 1 and it was exactly what I was looking for. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds (5 total but 2 being... More

I went with friends to celebrate a bachelorette party. We decided we wanted to visit the wineries and found this the perfect location. It was so nice to come back to the cabin after visiting the wineries and relax on the deck and sit in the hot tub and visit with friends. The beds were superbly comfortable and the cabin... More

We stayed in cabin 2 and had a wonderful time. The view is spectacular, and you are a short distance away from MANY beautiful sites in Shawnee National Forest, along with being located on the Illinois Wine Trail. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and kitchens, it would be a great place to share with friends/family. Beautiful decor, including artwork... More

We were looking for a getaway from the city, saw the reveiws for the cabins, and took off for a weekend to Southern Illinois. We were so very happy with our trip! The cabin was very quaint; small but had enough room for everyone (we traveled with our two boys ages 13 and 10). The kitchen was well stocked wtih... More

Our son and family (grandsons 10 and 12) joined us for a three day break at this very attractive location. Two bi-level "cabins" sit behind the proprietors home and overlook the Shawnee National Forest with a beautiful view. To compensate for a limited view, our cabin provided a hot tub. Only two years old, our cabin had a kitchen, bath... More

Thanks Jan York for a wonderful time at Skyline View Cabins! Gorgeous cabins, very comfortable, like being at home! Great artwork throughout. I loved listening to the birds each morning. I'll be checking your availability for the end of June to come back with my husband.

We were greated by a very friendly Jan York and things went well from there on out. Since both cabins were empty we were afforded the opportunity to check them both out and then decide which one we wanted to stay in. There were maps and brochures in the cabin to help us decide what we wanted to explore. We... More
