I travel a lot and stay in some real dives to save expenses, but this place hit a new low. Room was badly needing an update, carpets all wrinkled up, 3 tv remotes later and still didn't have one that worked. Cobwebs in the corners of the room, Hallway stunk like cirgarettes on the non smoking floor, shower didn't work,...

Been there twice - both times when a friend makes the reservation and thinks it's a great place. Room is small - 2 double beds ( who has double beds anymore? ) - bathroom is impossibly small - room is dirty - grossly overpriced at $80 per night for 3. I hope I never see it again.
We live near Des Moines and just wanted to get away for the weekend,we would've been better off to just stay home!!! The hotel is in need of a overall update!! We have never stayed at a Settle Inn,and will never again! I should've read the reviews and saved some money! If you like to relax in the hot tub...

We got the jungle room and it was cheesetastic (cheesy and fantastic)! It was clean and the bed was comfortable (even the pillows were nice). The Whirl Pool was a little loud but otherwise ok. We got there a half hour early and they let us check in early which was nice. One of the staff there was really nice...

This is a typical Holiday Inn Express which means a reasonably comfortable and clean room close to a major highway. The room was adequate for my purposes and the staff were friendly. As others have mentioned, the free breakfast buffet did not seem well kept up with. I went in fairly early and they were out of scrambled eggs. I...

We had two theme suites, each were dark and gloomy. Water leak in ceiling above pool entrance required 2 garbage cans to walk around for entire weekend. The breakfast was ok but they don't have enough help to keep it stocked. Coffee pots were empty, I was told I would have to go to lobby to get coffee because the...

I came to this hotel with no expectations. I was in Des Moines for a friends wedding and I just needed a room to crash in. The room was descent, clean, nice with a reclining chair. In the morning I was impressed with the continental breakfast. They had a waffle maker, cereal, fresh bagels, one day they had bisquits and...

After calling Holiday Inns and other usually good hotels, we settled for this one due to arriving after a long day of travel. It is old, dark and has a "dank" smell. I had not checked Trip Advisor!! I think the only way they stay in business is due to the huge gambling casino and horse racing up the street!...

I had two criteria, a hot tub and a pool. They assured me over the phone that they had both. I specifically asked if the hot tub worked. I was told yes. We check in and are informed that the hot tub is out of order. OK .I can deal with that. We get to our rooms. My sister's is...
