The Riad Princess du Desert is one of several riads owned by someone whom we never met. I realize from all the other reviews that there is someone named Samira around, but I think it’s odd that we were there for three days and never saw hide nor hair of her. This makes me suspicious of the authenticity of some... More

Stayed at other Dar/Riads in Morocco all of which were excellent, but this one was the best. Beautifully restored, clean and comfortable. The decor was so colourful and the smell of various oils wonderfully exotic whilst the welcome and the staff were outstanding. Unfortunately I was ill (bad reaction to an insect bite) for the 2 nights we stayed here... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Princesse du desert. We travelled all over Morocco, and we could not beat this Riad , for its hospitality, decor, great position, and wonderful service. The Riad is beautifully decorated,( we stayed in the Yasmina room which was stunning) and we felt that we had stepped into a scene from the Arabian... More

We spent a week in Morocco and this was definitely the best riad we visited. The rooms are clean, large, and comfortable. And they had good wifi. The staff is helpful. The location is good. And the place itself is very beautiful. But the true star is Fatima. Her cooking is exceptional. I was only half joking when I asked... More

Before I arrived Samira had sorted everything out for me travelling alone. It was my first time in Marrakesh and Samira and team made it so comfortable. When I arrived had a warm welcome and then Samira organised a bespoke set of activities that I wanted to do over a short period of time (ballooning, trip to desert, quad-biking etc)... More

We had a very warm welcome, Samira is an excellent host, everything about the 'Riad Princesse du Dessert was delightful', the decor in the bedrooms was fabulous, I would definitely recommend 'la suite bleu'. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, so we would like to say a big thank you to Samira, Mostapha, Seham... More

Inside the Medina, as soon as we walked in the Riad Princesse du Desert, we were met with exotic incense smells and poured mint tea. The Riad is very nicesly decorated and gives a sense of what homes are like in the Medina. Once you've been out and about you get used to the directions to follow to get back.... More

Most guests were well into dinner by the time we arrived (and began sipping mint tea). It had been a long day and our *plan* was dinner and sleep. Dinner was delightful but musical entertainment seemed like a good idea for another time. We're so glad we accepted Samira's invitation to not rush away. If we had, we'd have missed... More

We would like to thank Samira, Mostapha, Fatima and Seham for such personal care and attention when we stayed in their beautiful riad in Marrakech. The decor and ambience are so characteristic, with some beautiful artefacts. The riad is close to the Main Square and easy to find. We highly recommend this riad and the lovely staff to anyone visiting... More

We enjoyed every minute at Samira's Riad. This is an oasis of peace and quiet in the chaos of Marrakech The owner "Samira " cannot do enough for you, we will never forget her amazing smile !!!
