We stayed here when on a group tour. I debated on whether to give this hotel a 3* or 4*. I opted for for 4* for the following reasons: This hotel in its heyday would have been rated as a very good 5*. It has all the amenities of a 5* hotel namely: a) central location (close to good shops, restaurants and a medina); b) two pools, gym, sauna, hammam, coffee shop, large airy lobby area with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors; c) unlike some of the other reviews, we found the staff friendly and welcoming. Waiting staff in the dining room were helpful and proactive; d) our room was large with a practical layout. Our room and bathroom were clean. What lets the hotel down is that it looks dated, it needs a refresh. The carpets need cleaning or replacing. The towels and sheets need to look and smell fresh and clean. They should not prevent people from bringing in water- we did as we were not aware of such a rule.

We stayed here three nights as part of a coach tour of Morocco. It was fine, the room was clean and the plumbing worked. You could walk to the medina in about 30minutes along a busy well lit street. The hotel had a strict no bottles or food to be carried in policy, we were warned about this by our guide and there was a sign in the lobby. They did not serve alcohol but we had a pleasant after dinner coffee by the pool. The buffet dinners weren't that inspiring although the salads were pleasant enough. The serving staff at breakfast were very helpful, as was the woman on reception who changed some high denomination notes to smaller values for us. For pre dinner drinks we walked around the corner to the Imperial that did serve alcohol.

Absolutely no star rated hotel. Besides the kind and friendly stuff there is no word to describe how terrible the rooms, bathrooms, building, ... are. Really don't know how this hotel is 5 star rated!!!!! seriously!!!???? Food quality was below average.

Superficially impressive but aging and completely soulless. The rooms are shabby. The drains seem dodgy, so some areas are somewhat smelly. A single tiny lift at each end of the building, and lights not working in the stairwell. The dinner provided (as part of our package) was agreed be all to have been truly awful. Breakfast isn't great either. Desk staff are unfriendly and unhelpful (unlike the cleaners who seemed lovely, and do a good job). There is (atJan '24) noisy building work being undertaken on adjacent hotels. Finally, the Fawlty Towers moment.. the restaurant manager gave the staff an exceptionally loud 10 min rollicking in the restaurant (not outside, or the kitchen, or or..)! This place seemed to be used by tour providers (so, no doubt, offering them deals), but there are very many hotels in this part of the city.. I suspect most of which will try considerably harder for their guests.

We were told by multiple locals that this is known as the worst hotel in Marrakech. And I believe them. The food is inedible - our meals were paid for by our tour company, but we got breakfast and dinner elsewhere because we could not eat the hotel food. The staff were very unfriendly. The bathroom smelled like sulfur, no idea why. It was clean, so at least it has that going for it…

Horrible experience! Our small tour group were sent to this hotel due to our riad in the medina still being repaired from the earthquake. A huge disappointment. The only decent aspect of the hotel is the clean, spacious foyer. Rooms small, dark, old, dirty, air-conditioning ancient and faulty, breakfast disgusting, restaurant dirty, lift filthy. The staff were all unfriendly and rude beyond belief! They are disdainful towards tourists. Our worst hotel in Morocco by far. Don't be fooled the 4 star rating - what a complete lie!

I went for a business trip and I was satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious, with a great balcony. The bed was comfortable which helped me have great nights of sleep after some long days of work. Also, the service was great and the staff was extremely friendly.

Stayed 3 nights as part of a tour. The room was comfortable, good bed, huge balcony, good AC, a mini fridge and a safe. The patio door did not lock, ran into that most places I stayed in Morocco. The elevator was gross and had the same coffee spills and hand print on the mirror the whole time I was there. Because we had checked in as a group we were handed our keys by our tour guide and didn't have much contact with the front desk staff initially and I did NOT notice the sign-no food or drinks are allowed to be brought onto the hotel property! I was stopped on my way in with water and the staff member was quite angry with me, very rudely said I could not have it and kept pointing at the sign and to the "bar" where they sell it at inflated prices. 30 dirham vs 3 I paid at the grocery store! It was 38 degrees and he tells me I can't keep the water I paid for! Guess who was in the elevator as soon as his back was turned. What a jerk. There also was attitude toward women there. I tried 3x to get a drink at breakfast, finally had one of the guys ask for me and it came right away. One of the ladies in our group asked for a corkscrew and was told they didn't have it, a man asks the same guy and he gets it. Service was overall bad except for one lady in the restaurant who was good. Tables were not cleaned quickly enough, or at all, after use. Food was just ok. The omelet station by the pool was egg and cheese. That's it. No veggies, no meat. The pool area was nice, very limited seating but the pool was big and very clean.

Stayed at hotel for 4 nights to 11 October. This is a 3-star hotel. Good location, just a 50-70 dh to main square. Rooms are ok with decent bed and air conditioning (which is a little noisy). Beware: cleaning staff just walk into the room any time during the day without knocking so be sure to use the door lock! We didn't find out until after check-in that guests cannot bring in water or alcohol (wine, whiskey). You have to buy water from the hotel and they do not sell any alcohol, meaning it's a dry hotel. Breakfast is minimal, no fruit except sliced tomatoes and olives. Egg omelets are a little greasy. Not much other choices. Overall, an OK 3-star experience.
