We chose this place because we were also going to Kasbah Bab Ourika, the sister hotel in the Ourika Valley and we thought it would be simpler with transfers to stick with the two places own by the same person. Riyad Edward is an amazing property. Others have described it as shabby chic, and I can understand what they mean... More

My friend and I went to Marrakech at the end of March. Riyad Edward had been recommended by a colleague and I have to say it lived up to expectations. Beatriz, Layla and the boys who work in the Riyad were so helpful and mad our stay more lovely. We were two girls travelling and as we arrived a little later... More

The Riad organised our smooth transfer to the Riad where we were met with mint tea and moonllght in the beautiful courtyard. Our host Beatriz was warm and helpful with many handy hints, her staff and cat Cous Cous made us feel at home and peaceful in the exciting and hectic town of Marrakech. Dinner was delicious, authentic and excellent... More

This beautiful, chic, unexpectedly charming Riyad ticked every box and more. The setting was stunning (views from the roof terrace with the backdrop to the Atlas mountains and the sun rise/sets were mesmerising). The food was the best we'd experienced in Morocco, the staff incredibly discreet yet always helpful, the bedrooms/suites were sublime and the beds with the best imported... More

I visited Riad Edward in September and couldn't recommend staying there highly enough. It offers a welcome and restful retreat from the chaos of Marrakech. The plunge pool that greats you as you enter the Riad is stunning. No less disappointing is the beautiful terrace with amazing views, which you can enjoy while eating a delicious breakfast. The room was... More

I was initially nervous about visiting Riyad Edward having read some of the reviews on here, however, all inadequacies mentioned were entirely absent in my experience. I visited with 2 other female students for a couple of nights as a birthday treat during a trip this summer. The place is amazing. Completely peaceful & tranquil - a perfect escape from... More

Selected from the multitude of Riads online is not as easy task but something kept bringing me back to Riad Edward. Happy we booked in the end as when we arrived at night our jaws dropped..... an amazing traditional riad courtyard decked out in beautiful furniture, candles with a pool in the centre and bougainvillea hanging over the terraces above.... We travelled as an extended family and occupied every room in the Riad. Each room was unique and when you stay in the medina, you know that the hotels are old buildings, full of character, but sometimes lacking in the contemporary conveniences. The staff was fabulous; very accomodating and flexible. They would provide us meals if requested and the food... More

Arrival at night is a slightly scary experience - probably anywhere in the medina that does not have direct vehicle access - as this involved leaving the safety of the car without actually knowing where the riad was. As the surrounding area is inevitably very scruffy and badly lit it requires a certain leap of faith to vacate the vehicle.... More

Riad Edward is situated in the outskirt of the Medina only 10 mins walking distance from the Jardins Majorelles. Beatriz the hostess and manager made us feel very welcome, she is extremely warm and very knowledgeable about where to go and what to do. The accommodation was comfortable and the different quarters made it a good place for two visiting... More
