Riad Dar Yammi is newly renovated to a very high degree of Moroccan architecture with modern conveniences. Best of all, its location is PERFECT!!! Only 3 corners and you are in Marrakech’s famous Jmaa El Fna Square!!! No fear of losing your way!! It is amid shops, restaurants, small groceries and yet a refreshing oasis in the midst of the excitement of being in a Moroccan Medina. Head up to the third and fourth floor terraces and see the square!!! Jordi Blanchard and his team are ready to welcome you and assist with transfers to and from the airport, tours to practically everywhere in Morocco or simply give directions to places you want to visit in Marrakech!! Why am I telling you all of these??? I just stayed at Riad Dar Yammi for 11 days and had the most wonderful vacation!!!! The Blanchard family operate 3 Riads in Marrakech and all are well located, clean and functional. I have stayed in TWO - Riad Andalla ( I stayed there for 10 days last year and another 11 days this year.) and Riad Dar Yammi!!! I came as an interested tourist and left feeling like a local - a Marrakchis!!! Don’t look anywhere else, RIAD DAR YAMMI IS IT !!!!!…

Our stay at Riad Dar Yammi has been even better than we could have expected. The hotel is located in an unbeatable place, 2 minutes from the most important square in Marrakech. The cleaning is 10/10, the room was cleaned every day that we stayed in it. Breakfast is 10/10 too. Highlight the kindness of each and every one of the hotel employees. In particular, Jordi is a magnificent manager, always attentive to his clients, he has helped us in everything we have asked of him, always with a smile. If we return to Marrakech we are sure that we will return to the same Riad !!

Riad Dar Yammi is a property located less than 5mins walk away from the main medina square and just a few mins from the entrance to the souks. However, unlike other riads in the area, there isnt any signage leading to the property so having google maps and being adept at is a must. Having stayed at 2 other riads during my time in Morocco, i found Dar Yammi to be lagging behind the others, even though it was the costliest of the lot. Basic amenities like soap or a glass were missing and the rooms needed serious renovation. My bathroom was chock full of mould (see pic attached) and the walls had cracks and signs of seepage. I had to tie the toilet seat to the pipes behind it with a usb cable to keep it from falling down. Also, with the proprietor insisting on leaving keys behind, you had to ring the bell and wait everytime you went in/out of the riad, leading to an awkward experience if you are coming back late or early morning. It is also somewhat understaffed as everything from cleaning to cooking is being handled by just two people, i had to wait a few at check in and find someone as there wasn't anyone present. The rooms were also small and my room was devoid of natural light (unheard of in a riad) as the only window opened into an indoor common area. The breakfast spread however was pretty good and diverse. In the end, all of the above can be overlooked and triumphed by the friendliness of the staff who were always beaming and happy to help especially Valerie. I will happily return to Dar Yammi, hoping they clean and renovate soon to match up with the colorful, vibrant area they are located in.…

This family owned and operated boutique hotel was more than we could have ever expected. The rooms were bigger, cleaner and nicer than anticipated. The family/staff were kinder, warmer, and more professional than anyone could have hoped for. The location (which is why we picked Yammi) was perfectly situated!! Close enough that we didn't need taxis and could walk everywhere but far enough that the market didn't keep us up all night. The shocking part: I'm gluten free and typically write off that most hotels with "breakfast included" is typically an egg and some fruit, which is more than ok. I explained to the family that I was gluten free (in French, language barrier was funny) and they were out of their way to accommodate my allergy! The following morning I awoke to gluten free crepes, pancakes, bread, eggs, jams... way too much food for me but wow did I try! And got the same amount each additional day. Jordi really did go above and beyond for us to make us feel right at home. Wonderful rooms, firm bed but extra pillows than what we had seen on the rest of our trip. The bathroom was excellent, great water pressure, and I was on the 3rd floor!! I cant wait to come back and stay there again. Such an amazing experience.…

Perfect location, just beside the main plaza but quiet. Good breakfast with local snacks very well prepared. Clean place. The team is very open and kind, giving good advices about where to go/eat/buy. Only beds should be improved. Reccomend!

Abdul and the rest of the staff at Dar Yammi are incredibly accommodating and kind. You were made to feel very welcome, comfortable, and safe the entire time. There was a lovely and filling breakfast each morning and Abdul helped us set up our tours for the rest of the time in Morocco. Our room was quiet and clean, we slept well each night! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay in this Riad. Abdul and Mohammed are amazing host. They are very helpful and polite. They made us feel at home right away. They are the star! I can't praise them enough. The riad's location is great. Just a couple minutes walk from Jemaa el-Fna. The traditional Moroccan breakfast every morning was also great. The room was a bit smaller than expected but that was fine. There also no toiletries but we brought our own just in case. The wifi is a bit slow but I'm not sure if that's typical. Anyway, we just wanna thank Abdul and Mohammed they are the real star of this riad. We're giving them 5/5 (excellent rating).

Lovely little riad in the heart of the medina, a stones throw away from Jamal El Fnaa. The hosts were super welcoming. We had a trip early in the morning, they go up early to make us breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic and the coffee was great. The actual room was really clean and had air conditioning.

We went to Marrakech at the end of our holiday. Just as well, because we needed a bit of practice in the smaller Medinas before experiencing the size, noise, colour and movement of the Marrakech Medina and its main square, the legendary Jemaa el-Fna. The hotel is traditional and perfectly located, just off the main square, so it is easy to get to the performances, shopping and restaurants but it is still quiet at night. Very very clean. The staff were great. They helped us with our laundry and always checked that we were having a nice time. Marrakech is a beautiful adventure and with Riad Dar Yammi you will have a great home base.
