This guest house which was once a royal residence has a very Moroccan atmosphere and is located in the quiet alleyways of the old Medina in Meknes. We loved the very faithfully restored rooms and suites. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with local dishes served in the lovely courtyard. A small rooftop pool was refreshing after a long day in... More

A lovely location and a beauttiful courtyard but we found the decor in the rooms overpowering and old fashioned, it definitely needs an uplift. The breakfastb was extremely basic, not palais standard.

This Riad is located in the heart of the old Medina part of Meknes call Dar el Kabir. Quaint rooms but less offthe creature comforts of a hotel. The building and rooms are a site to see bu remember its 400 years old. Food service is not what you expect out of a restaurant but it's incredible in taste.

Now if they would just improve their service (slow and unhelpful) and put wifi in the rooms, this hotel could easily be a 5-star. The rooms were magnifIcent and full of character, the breakfast and dinner were good albeit slow, and the wifi was only available in the lobby. All in all, definitely worth it for the rooms, but don't... More

I loved almost everything about this hotel. The ONLY things I didn't like were: Staff didn't speak english, and WiFi didn't work in room

We chose this Riad because of its look and decoration. It's room looks like an ancient palace in "One thousands and one nights", rich and lavishly decorated in traditional morocco style. Room is very spacious (we have one of the suite) and with huge bathroom and big tab. But it uses a water heater in the bath room. It quickly... More

Nice riad. Beautifully styled. Good service and a very nice breakfast. Location is fine and nice and quiet. Room was very spacious. Only downside is that the hot water ran out pretty quickly.

The palace was once lovely, now a little dusty/sticky. Our room was enormous, ditto the bathroom - and the staff did try but were a little hapless. In fairness we arrived during the celebration of Eid Al Adha and the riad was not, perhaps, fully staffed. Again, they tried, but we experienced much, much better service and quality for the... More

We only stayed one night at this Riad as part of our tour of Morocco. The rooms were large, linen of good quality and the central courtyard a wonderful oasis upon arrival and for meals. Breakfast was a treat, do not miss out on the moist buttery cake even if thats not your usual breakfast fare. Central to the tourist... More
