My wife and I spent two nights at this riad in Meknes in late February of 2012. The location is great and was very quiet. It certainly was cold at night, but they did provide plenty of blankets so at least you were plenty warm in bed. We actually had only brief interactions with our hostess, though she was certainly... This was such a friendly riad that it was like being at home. The owners and the staff were welcoming and courteous and we felt like we were amongst our own family. It was February and Meknes is cold at night (we had been warned) but the bedding was more than adequate to keep us warm at night and, when... More

What a great spot in the medina -- close to the Bab Mansour and the Place El-hedim, and the sights of the Imperial City. We stayed for a couple of nights in mid-January, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The host and hostess were very accomodating and gave us great advice on planning our outings. Food was very good, too. The building... More

We walked in without reservations the night before Eid, and were welcomed into the most beautiful riad we found on our trip to Morocco. The house has been in the same family for many generations, and the architecture and furnishings are museum quality. It's off the main square in the medina, and actually not hard to find because there are... More

“Ideal location and SUPER FRIENDLY WELCOME” We chose this Riad because it’s situated five minutes walk from place El Hedim , the central plaza in Meknes. The rooms are attractively done in local Moroccan style and the air –con works well and without undue noise. The most attractive aspect of this Riad is the personality of owners Abdellatif and Bouchra.... More

We stayed for two nights in Sept 2011. This is a fascinating, rambling property with great views from the roof. Although only a hop and skip from the main square, it is hard to find first up, but if you phone (there are public phones in the square) the owner will come and get you. Overall, the service is excellent.... More

After a long days travelling we were greeted with a pot of mint tea. This Riad would have been a little difficult to find had it not been for the friendly locals who all seemed to know Bahia, it is located behind the main square in the midst of the medina and taxis drop you off at the square, so... Not only are the rooms very attractive and well air conditioned but the genuinely friendly hospitality is remarkable .Here 's our excempte: Among our group several are allergic to garlic and oil. Both these items are very very frequent (almost ubiquitous!) in Moroccan cuisine , which is garlicky and also does a lot of frying. Pursuant to our request Riad Bahia's... More

Sadly only able to spend one night. Really appreciated the care with which we were greeted and made to feel welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. Loved the room. Will most certainly return

Bouchra Jamai and her husband Abdul run a very special piec of Moroccan history, the Ryad Bahia. Tocated in the heart of the Meknes medina (walled city) I do have to admit that it is not an easy place to find because basically there are no street signs and you have to know where you are going. But if you... More
