Yes, the common area is good, but probably that's where the good things ended. The room was, not so nice. The house doesn't look like a "standard" riad there, so I guess they combined 2 riads into one single house, and my room was in fact the area between the 2 houses, you can feel that when you 're in... Great Riad, nice people and big beds. The riad is near the medina and the staff is very helpfull, even so that they took me to the butcher to get some camelmeat. There is a lovely haman, big terrasses and a good restaurant.

We ended up here as a substitute when our reservation at the Riad Yacout turned up missing and were pleasantly surprised. The Riad d’Or provides lovely, comfortable lodging inside the medina. The bulding goes back at least to 1791 and was renovated in 2007. It retains much of the original layout and some of the amazing decorative details. Where original... More

My husband and I stayed with his sister and her husband for one night at the Riad D’Or. We reserved the “Superior Quadruple Room” through booking.com which wound up being the Pacha room if you are looking at the riad’s website (http://www.riaddor.com/ – not currently listed on TA) though the pictures on the website are not great. The room easily... More

They first gave us a room in the new section of the riad which was still having some kind of renovation. The bathroom was too small even for a small person and there's not a touch of Moroccan style in it. It didn't look ready at all. We asked for another room and they did manage to change it for... This was a beautifully restored (or kept up?) palace in the medina. There were two salons beautifully furnished in the grand Moroccan style -- couches, cushions, brass, mosaics, lacy plasterwork. One of these had a collection of books in various languages. The dining room and higher-up breakfast area were also quite elegant with food and service that matched. My room... More

We stayed at Riad D’Or for 3 very cold days in January. The Riad is lovely and our room was perfect for our needs - a sleeping room up a short flight of stairs and a sitting room below. We had trouble getting the wall heater to work (it could very well have been our inexperience) but the staff brought... More

I Loved my stay and the staff was so very kind. Beautiful decor, great traditional breakfast, wonderful views. Ill return again and recommend it highly. Easy to feel at home. Thanks Medhi for the Arabic lessons and organizing my arrival and departure. Did not get a chance to use the hammam. Will do next time hopefully.

My husband and I stayed at Riad D’Or on the 27th of December along with another couple and had the MOST HORRIBLE experience ever. We had booked the last two rooms (a comfort room and a superior room) at the Riad for the night through booking.com. While the superior room was ok (though one of the main lights in the... More
