Spent 3 days here with the lovely Chantale and her staff. Riad was spotless, food was good, owner very helpful. It's obvious that a lot of love and care has gone in the renovation of 2 old houses into the tastefully decorated Riad which has resulted. What a roof terrace - multi level with wonderful views. Nothing was too much... More

Riad Safir is everything you could want, great location in the medina, beautifully decorated, lovely food and very happy, helpful and attentive owner (Chantal) and staff. The rooftop terrace is delightful and inside it is cool and tres chic. Phil and Anne Smith UK.

We spent 3 nights here - the accommodation was chosen by American friends who were were meeting in Morocco, and we were delighted with their choice. It is very central - moments from all the action - and if you ask your taxi driver to take you to the Meknes museum the entrance to the Souk - and the route... More

With no booking in Meknes we tried this riad at random. More expensive than our usual accommodation but it was so gorgeous we decided to splurge and were glad we had. A large comfortable room. As someone who likes to read at night I really appreciated the fact that the room was so well lit. Pleasant communal areas including an... More

We had a great 3 day stay here. The staff, Nora and Doudou, took care of our needs, but were not overbearing. It is located in a very convenient place, and yet is a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Breakfast was always ready when we were and afternoon tea in the sitting area was enjoyable.... More

Our room was up crazy little steps - if you were at all unsteady on your feet it could end very badly. The room we had didn't even have a window. It was really cheapl;y furnished - IKEA all the way. The pillows were like bricks. I worked out they had stuffed normal size pillows into teensy little pillow cases... More

Hello Nellie We are shocked by the view that you sent us. We were contacted by mail, but you did not answer. We understand that the access stairs to the room (Meknes) may seem like small . However, we have never had any particular comment on this point. This room has been reserved by the agency to which you ordered... More

We got the address of this riad from Lonely Planet. The riad is pretty much as is described in the guide: there is a traditional part and a more modern building. We stayed in the traditional part. The building itself looks very nice. However, we stayed there in the winter and it gets very very cold at night. Food is... More

We spent a week here with my family and it was the Best! Had a very kind and helpful staff (Doudou and Nora). Big, spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Soundproof walls so you can't hear the streets outside. (A mosque is 25 yds away so you might hear the Call-to Prayers.) Open ceiling in lobby/sitting room. Huge terrace with... More

Great place. Just round the corner from the main square, cool air-conditioned rooms and lovely communal areas. Gorgeous rooftop terrace too. We stayed there when we visited Meknes and Volubilis. Can't say enough nice things about it or the people running it.

Very cute Riad, very close to Bab Mansour, with a welcoming staff and very pretty rooms. We booked the entire Riad, was quoted 200 euros as they were under construction. The owner, Chantal, appears to be from France, spoke to her on the phone upon arrival. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable. Meals (breakfast x... More
