area is not good (dirty and crowded) but the hotel is clean and quiet, just lack of enough light. restaurent is not working (just breakfast) and there is no wifi (just a computer and 10 min free internet). generally its best option for budget travel in central Dar!

For around $15-$20 getting your own room seemed to be decent value for money. Rooms were not that clean, views were non-existent. However location was quite good, especially if you've missed the ferry going over to Zanzibar (which happens to most people anyway!). A few good restaurants nearby that allow you to venture out at night.
