We've been so disappointed. The service personal was unfriendly, the room wasn't clean, the mosquito net had a lot of holes --> useless, and the bathroom door was completely mouldy. The whole place seems rotten.

Juba Hotel lies in the Kariakoo district of Dar Es Salaam. A fairly central, but shabby part of the city. We stayed for 3 days and we did like the place. Not like it was Hilton or anything, but you wouldn't hate it. Great staff (seemed to know English better than most people) and above all great atmosphere.

We stayed only for one night, just to rest between bewildering Northern Tanzania and relaxing Zanzibar. Staff is friendly, the place is kept clean, breakfast is included and served next door in a decent and rather cheap restaurant. Wifi is not free, only worked in the lobby, and was unreliable when I was there. A sign at reception says that alcohol is not allowed and neither are unmarried couples.
