Compared to Protea Courtyard, it is kinda pricey but is nevertheless a great hotel. I enjoyed the food, the room and the staff too were very friendly.

Stayed there on business in October. Large comfortable room. Left my saving kit at home. They had no disposable razors. I thought all hotels kept that sort of thing. Breakfast was cold because the kitchen staff had "run out of fuel". Dinner certainly not memorable. There are better hotels in Dar-es-Salaam at US$156 per night.
The hotel is well located and highly functional - good showers, big TVs, large beds, pretty good internet (which is now an open wireless system, whereas before you had to type in tedious log-in codes). This hotel is located outside the city centre of Dar es Salaam. Although there are two main streets nearby (Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road and Haile Selassie Road) the whole plot is very quiet and it is a nice and well-kept place as well.
We had one of the suites with a separate bedroom, a balcony and a kitchenette which contained...

If you just want somewhere to sleep this hotel could work. It looks quite messy with different kind of furniture thrown together in a haste and old bathrooms. The breakfast buffet was unimpressive too. I guess there are a lot of places of similar quality a much lower price in Dar.
For USD 140.00 per night, it was too pricey. If you can afford, 140, you can definitely afford 200. Just go to a 5 star hotel instead of this one.
Rooms are spacious and clean. However, staff members are extremely unfriendly, their restaurant does not have many options and most of the food is extremely spicy. They take cards and exchange money, but they have ridiculous rules such as not accepting US$ bills printed prior to 1999!!! Also be prepared to shower with cold water some days! and the gym...

This place is well located on the corner of Haile Selassie Road and Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road. We had a two-bedroom apartment, with a kitchenette and a small living room. The place is well maintained, the service was good and the price reasonable and they accept credit cards. This is a place I would certainly recommend to friends as it...
