This hotel is very nice and more south-european than african. It's quiet place with excellent restaurant. Just don't expect standard paradise beach resort, because it's not. But if you don't expect this, then you will be satisfied for sure.

Stayed here 2 nights going there and back between Dar and Zanzibar. Room was spacious and clean with a good view of the garden. Pool was very inviting and clean. Service was good. The restaraunt was great. Good Italian meals to be had, with a ocean view. Sheila was very helpful with all our needs. Would stay there again.

I went for dinner to Mediterraneo. The ambiance is way too amazing, I really fancied the atmosphere, very peaceful and tranquil. I was also very happy with the food. We ordered margarita and pizza, which was very tasty, although its pricey. But good things in life come with a price.

We spent just one night here after a late air arrival but the service was great, the room quiet, clean and comfortable. We awoke to a beautiful view of the ocean for breakfast at the restaurant.

The rooms are a little spartan, but the hotel, food and restaurant, the loungers directly next to the sea more than make up for any small shortcomings. And the food is wonderful, make sure to try the Prawn Cocktail starter, nothing you will have tried before, superb.
