We stayed at Ameg, Springlands and Highview hotels recently (before and after our time on the mtn). Each had it's own thing that set it apart. Ameg has a beautiful property - very well maintained. The lounge/dining area is beautiful. Staff were very pleasant. The rooms were in a bunch of little cottages. Rooms were small, but had everything we... More

Stayed at Ameg Lodge in December before and after my Kilimanjaro trek and I have to say, this place was perfect :) As we enter the gates, I felt relaxed with the open space, palm trees and welcoming smiles. The service from all the staff (reception & restaurant) and the management was second to none. They were friendly and extremely... More

What an amazing place!! You would really have to go out your way to find something to criticise about Ameg Lodge!! The food, service and accommodation are all excellent. This, coupled with friendly staff, and you've got yourself a brilliant place to relax and enjoy your holiday (or in my case have a good night's rest before a trek up... More

The range of reviews of Ameg lodge reflect that it is in a nice setting with a green and leafy compound, swimming pool and fancy exercise room, as well as a welcoming open air restaurant and bar. But the rooms are basic (no a/c) and not particularly comfortable, the service in the restaurant is awfully slow, and the breakfast buffet... More

I stayed at Ameg before and after a grueling Kili climb and it was the perfect, relaxing break. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service was great, especially from a friendly lady called "Happiness"! Be patient when waiting for your food, but when you get it, you won't be disappointed. The gym and pool also looked nice. The porters... More

I booked a party of 20 from UK and a party of 19 from USA to stay at Ameg Lodge and then go on to do the Kilimanjaro climb as part of our charity challenge. I was assured by the management that all our requirements will be met as requested like vegetarian food, extra guides etc. We were not disappointed... More

I stayed here with a large party before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. I found the place to be a comfortable, relaxing, safe haven. It was my first visit to Africa and I wasn't expecting luxury but I was pleasantly surprised by my room which was spacious, clean and comfortable with good facilities including mosquito netted four poster bed, TV, wireless... I hadn't read any reviews before going as I was part of a large party and everything was organised for me. I found it a quiet retreat and quite clean and comfortable. I live in Hong Kong and travel widely in SE Asia where I think we have the best hotels and highest service standards in the world. You cant... More

I was apprehensive about staying at Ameg Lodge (before and after Kili, before and after safari) after reading the reviews, but it was no where near as bad as suggested. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is very good. The service is apathetic, but what are you going to do? We had a couple of issues with the... More
