The Palms was built in modular form so don't expect interesting architecture - but the rooms are comfortable and clean. If you want wi-fi access then make sure you are on the 5th floor. Clean and pleasant hotel with attentive, helpful staff. The bathrooms could use some updating. With a near-monopoly on the market in Gaborone, they can - and do - overcharge. I would stay here again for the convenience, the pleasant staff ... and the great vegetarian curry.

Rooms adequate if a bit small, service fine, restaurants good but breakfast a bit chaotic & unfortunately rather like a school canteen - go early to avoid the rush. Price actually fine, but please stop charging separately for wifi, it's annoying!!

Visited the Walmont for a wedding. Becareful with your room type, the newer renovated rooms which seem to only be on the executive floor are much better. Location was excellent, as was the room. Everything was on the pricey side, but that was pretty common everywhere I stayed in Africa. Wifi was extra and pretty pricey as well. Gaborone has a serious shortage of good hotels. The Grand Palm is frequently considered the best hotel in town, and has a 4-star rating.
