The room at the Amitie' was modern, clean and attractive. The bed was especially comfortable. The view toward the river was panoramic through large picture windows. The room was quiet; the internet connection was free and unexpectedly fast. Good desk and closet space. Pretty good bathroom. Nice accommodation. But the front desk and conference facility of the hotel did not... More

I stayed at the hotel for a week, and I was very happy with the standard of the hotel. Clean, big rooms, excellent swimming pool, with a great view, and big and spacious bathroom with bath tub. However, there were some drawbacks. The toilet could have been washed better. Extremely expensive food and room service, the gym could have been... More

nothing to say or to advice other travellers in Bamako... Just AVOID! Malian legendary friendliness is not represented here. Eating at the restaurant is like eating at the canteen of a supermarket. No wonder why it is not Sofitel anymore, even can not reach the level of a Novotel. A shame as the location is nice

Generally pleasant but poorly trained staff. One desolute restaurant plus one by pool during day. Pleasant but musty rooms (the carpets!). Surprises on the bill. Three stars at best.

Food prices in the restaurant were expensive as well as alcohol. Most staff do not speak English. French is very handy, but there is a local dialect which doesn't translate well from French. Rooms were comfortable and the AC worked . Metal detectors at the entrance were eye wash--everyone just walked through and were not stopped when the detector went... More

The hotel is a beautiful hotel, with a golf course, gym, spa, and all the rare commodities you would not find in Mali. There only problem is their business practice. Is everything you would expect from a use car salesman. Your bill will only be incorrect, you will be charged more than you thought, and no one ever knows who's... More

I was very impressed with the staff professional and attentiviness to our needs and requests. The food was fantastic, you don't have to go out unless to visit the city if time allows. I am planning to go back this time for leissure and visit the country.

I travelled to Bamako for business in June 09 and and stayed at l'amitie. I had a rather unpleasant experience, especially given that I was coming from Burkina Faso, where Laico has a superb facility in Ouaga. I struggled in l'amitie as I found the rooms too small, filthy, the carpet stained, walls too thin and service all right. I... More

What stands out most for me is the view of the pool and surroundings including the niger river from a distance. The quality of the food is outstanding. The service generally is very good and staff very attentive to the guests' needs. The only grips are that the internet is not free and the carpets in the room I occupied... More

The Laico L'Amatie Hotel was quite a place to unwind with a room overlooking the Niger River. The rooms have a small balcony as well. The room overlooked the pool area, golf course, pool bar & grill. The staff was helpful to your needs yet very few people spoke English so a little French will get you somewhere. The place was swarmed with quite a...
