This hotel in Maputo is highly overpriced. Much better options in Maputo. This hotel is dodgy, not clean, and almost everything in the room is not working. Please shop around and find a better deal! Even the staff is not trained!

Even by the African standards this property is not worth spending your money unless you are very desperate and don’t find bookings in any other hotels in Maputo. Bad quality rooms, very poor room service, no same day laundry service(not even a provision for iron in the rooms), very light spread of menu in restaurant and on top of it...

Hotel Turismo is located in the Maputo's downtown, this is the historical area however not the area with the best restaurants and bars.
At a little over $100 a room a night it's quite cheap for Maputo's standards. It has twin, double, or single rooms but there is no way to add a third bed so if you are three...

Not as bad as we expected from reading other reviews but nothing special. Be clear that 1) parking is an issue - there is no secure parking and you will need to continuously pay the security guards to watch your car 2) there is wifi - it costs, rarely is operational and when it is you have to sit in...

I agree that this hotel is not a luxury hotel and may be good for short stays but I would not recommend it to anyone. We were harrassed by security staff from the day we checked in demanding to "watch" our cars for a fee since the hotel has no parking. Our friends' car had its mirrors "stolen" right in...

Ibis Turismo Hotel is not a luxury hotel as expected by many people. The hotel has a razonable price and available staff. Good for short trips. I do recommend if you are not a demanding person.
Very modest, considering the prices, with lots of problems with the elevators… But convent location, close to banks and coffee shops
The rooms are very old and degraded, and need a major renovation. The service needs to be much improved. It's like a residential not a hotel.
Hotel de Turismo was not of my best experiences, but I would say the overall price/quality ratio is good given the location and usual price range at Maputo. The overall hotel was formerly an Ibis. The best description if you know the Ibis is that service and installations are slightly degraded compared to the standard of this chain, but acceptable...

I don’t have one good thing to say about this place, the rooms are horrid, they charged us $20 more to pay in Meticals than $US. There wasn’t any food at breakfast – they had run out! Stay at Palmeiras (or anywhere else) instead!
