This is a beautiful developing area of Rwanda. The Nyungwe National Park has a canopy walk, chimp tracking possibilities and beautiful hikes around waterfalls. This hotel is just steps away from the entrance to the amazing waterfall hike. It is actually on a tea plantation, and tea is promoted here. It's such a healthy and natural place to be, and... More

Not only is this hotel spectacular it's an amazing bargain. I don't know how long they can afford this kind of pricing. I didn't want to leave. The food was a tad boring bit you could certainly order up your own custom meal to solve that. I recommend meeting the chef to spell out what you like or don't like... More

This was our top end experience, we ve saved money to stay here and it was the best decision. The place is amazing, lots of wildlife that you can see from the balcony of your room. Setting is unbelievable - on the tea plantation overlooking Nyngwe forest. Food is really good although probably not up to 5 star standards. Staff... More

We stayed at Nyungwe Forest Lodge for two nights and loved every moment! The rooms were beautifully situated, and we often saw a slew of monkeys (Colobus and Blue) from our balconies. It was incredibly peaceful and we spent hours sitting outside by the pool just reading our books. While the food wasn't incredible, it was still some of the... More

We ended our stay in Rwanda at this beautiful lodge. The lodge is on a tea plantation at the edge of the forest. It is about a 5 to 6 hour drive from Kigali depending on how many trucks are on the road but well worth the journey. It is a beautiful place. The staff were friendly and helpful. The... More

It was a very long drive from Kigali, but worth it. A welcome glass of iced tae awaited us. The individual rooms are a short walk from the main house, and very nicely appointed. However, there is no heat in the rooms, so anything to be dried had to be hung on the heated towel rail in the bathroom. Food... More

We were spending sometime in Kigali and someone recommended that we make the effort to try this very gorgeous and unique lodge in the middle of a tea plantation. It takes a little effort to get there if you are driving(aprox 5 1/2 hrs.But you can fly there in 1 hour and then you have an hours drive to the... More

This Lodge is very picturesque, surrounded by tea plantations and rain forest. The individual lodges were very well appointed and decorated. The service was excellent and the food delicious. I would have liked it to be more eco conscious as the bath would have needed a lake full of water to fill it. I did not have any say in... More

Arriving here after the 6 hour trek from Kigali we were delighted to see the simple elegance of the reception lodge amidst the soft bright green of the tea plantation. The interior has been nicely executed and is open and big. You are taken to your room on a cart pulled by oxen (no it was electric, honest). The rooms... More

As one of previous reviewers noted, the location is amazing right on the edge of the rainforest in a tea plantation. The accommodations were awesome, but the little things need taking care of. Our room was impressive. Lots of room. Big bathroom with bath tub, rain shower and you could open sliding window shades to look out on the room... More
