The building is old and dated. The rooms have seen better days. This place needs a full overhaul, along with the staff / training etc. However the restaurant was great!!

Agree with reviewer on 27 May. This Sheraton is on the expensive side but is not up to snuff. A few concrete details: needs overall renovation, room door hardly locked, shower curtain fell twice, bathroom fixtures ancient, hot water ran brown, no outlet for shaver in bathroom, TV remote did not work, room safe locked shut, much too cold in...

I have been a platinum SPG member and had stayed on Sheratons across 4 continents. Never had I come across one which is so horrible with no redeeming features.
First, the hotel airport pickup was not properly organised. A shady driver without identification picked up me, and asked me to pay cash upon arrival. When I asked the fare to...

Excellent hotel: fresh, comfortable, secure, friendly.
Extremely large room with huge windows providing view over Kampala. Comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom.
The hotel is international from top to bottom: you will have absolutely no idea you are in Uganda. It lacks any character - these international chains seem to design it out deliberately - but it does what it says...

I have been told by colleagues that the Sheraton Kampala can be very noisy from the bar and the casino across the road. When I arrived I asked for a quiet room at the back of the hotel which unfortunately they did not have in my room category (club room). However since my room was on the 8th floor I...

Stayed in the Sheraton Kampala for a meeting held there. Fine hotel but definitely quite tired. Plus: Good bed Great view Good breakfast buffet Fine gym Friendly and responsive service Minus: Uncontrollable AC Tiny bathroom with poor shower Spotty internet access Bland food at Equator/Paradise Grill with not many choices for vegetarians
The hotel is a little long in the tooth. It looks like its been around for a while and could use some upgrading, especially the elevators! They kept breaking down and usually during peak hours. The room air conditioning was also lacking but the weather was decent and you could open the sliding door. It is close to several good...

I've stayed at the Kampala Sheraton on about half a dozen occasions for business and find it to be a very good hotel. I'm always happy to stay here when traveling in Uganda. Everything works and the service is good. They also have a good, gym, pool, and food. They've upgraded my room when there have been problems. Expect to...

Nice western hotel. Upgraded rooms on the 3rd floor. Grounds were nice & nice outside restaurants. Safe. Internet was sketchy as I was on the far end of the hotel. Security walked the floors late at night. When I left the room at 4AM, the security gentlemen was going past my door & stopped to help with my departure. VERY...

Arriving at the Hotel you enter a large reception area where you will find a bar and some small shops. Reception staff are friendly polite and helpful. I checked into my room and it was clean however the bathroom was another matter with cracked tiles and a shower which was completely useless. Another issue was that no matter what setting...
