Based on the reviews in tripadvisor, we expected more. Our room was shabby. The restaurant was bright and cheerful and the food at breakfast and dinner was very good. If you're looking for a more upscale room like we were, you better look elsewhere.

Bhutan Suites was our first stop on a 13 day tour of Bhutan. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it.
The room was clean & comfortable with a small kitchenette with a fridge & stovetop (which we didn't use but would be handy for longer term stays), separate sitting area, a small dining table and a clean bathroom...

As a regular visitor to Bhutan, I had the pleasure of staying here for 10 days.
The hotel is newish and in the nicer side of Thimphu. Peaceful location with stunning views of Thimphu valley and sorrounding mountains. 5 mins drive away from the city centre, which makes it all the more pleasant, away from all the barking dogs!

Good quality accommodation - a suite rather than a room with wonderful views of the city from your balcony (ask for one). Excellent vegetarian food and well trained staff in the kitchen. As always very friendly. We stayed there twice during our 2 week trip to Bhutan and was the most comfortable of all places. One advantage of the out...

My family spent 12 nights in Bhutan in April 2011. All in all it was a fantastic trip even for my 12-yrs old son and 10-yrs old daughter. Our first two nights was spent in Bhutan Suites, Thimphu. The accomodation was perfect. Rooms are great with a lot of space and separate living room. The location is a bit out...

We stayed in 6 hotels during our 17-day tour of Bhutan. This was easily the best. The room, a suite, was huge. It was clean and everything worked. It even had a kitchen. Hotel food across Bhutan is uniformly bland, but this place stood out. The vegetarian set menu was superb (by local standards), and I'm not even a vegetarian....

The B.S have very large spacious bedrooms and living rooms. The bathrooms and bedrooms are of very good standard. The only down side to the B.S is that they are over priced for Thimphu. (Expect to pay around $60 around 2700 local currency+ taxes+service charge).
The local of the Suites is relatively poor, they are miles aways from the centre...

The rooms very surprisingly very spacious.
There was a separate drawing room with huge balconies.
Also the bathrooms had a separate section for bath.
The service is very nice and staff is well trained and courteous.
With 3 USD, I have not seen this kind of hotel in the entire world.
I highly recommend this hotel for all kind of...

I stay here each and every time I come to Thimphu for business (so far 3 times). The rooms are huge and comfortable. You can adjust the heat in your room so as not to feel the winter cold. The food is above average, though served rather slow (this is not a Bhutan Suites phenomenon but rather standard in Bhutan,...

Great service and very accomadating staff. Vegetarian hotel, which was a draw back. Location and view is average. Call Sonam at ----- for reservations.
On our way back from Gangtey valley we stayed at Galinkha Hotel(-----) which is very modern, classy and around the city centre. Room tariff in both hotels is similar.( Around 80 dollars). You can get a...
