Dwarika's Hotel is a unique place in South Asia. It is a living example that tourism need not destroy heritage and the environment. On the contrary, it has demonstrated that a proper blending of cultural restoration and tourism leads to the preservation of historical artifacts and contributes to the growth of skills and culture that would otherwise have eroded from... This was a long weekend trip for fun that a friend and I took just to acquainted with Nepal, the most tracking we did was from our hotel rooms to the spa. So, this was a great, comfortable place for us - an oasis of luxury amidst very busy, and let's face it - very poor Kathmandu. This place felt... More

Honestly, I'm extraordinarily surprised by all the positive reviews of this place. I understand that expectations have to be lower in developing countries, but this hotel certainly fell far short in every regard. The foremost reason why you should not stay here is because we got sick from the food in this hotel. We were throwing up all night and... More

We stayed here twice, mid trip ,and a night before we returned home.Dwarikas is a lovely tranquil retreat, it is hard to believe it is in the middle of Kathmandu. The rooms are large and nicely decorated, and the large courtyard has a pool ,and plenty of places to eat.The food is good, though service can be a bit slow. The staff... Flew to Nepal for 3 nights on the end of a 10 day trip to India. I REALLY enjoyed my trip to Nepal! Part of the enjoyment was this hotel-it is an oasis! We stayed 1 night and then drove to Nagarkot to see the Himalayas, then back to Dwarika's. We stayed in a ground floor that opened onto the... More

Somewhere in the midst of the poverty and filth of Kathmandu is the Dwarika Hotel. While you can't tell from the street, once inside the hotel gardens, rooms and service is wonderful. Whilet he service in the restaurant is a little slow and you may have to ask for things a second time, the staff is delightful and the architecture... More

Dwarkia's is not a hotel; it's an experience. Right from the very friendly staff to the stunning and spacious room with a view, one tends to forget time and space and just immerse in the culture, tradition and heritage of a very charming country. Trip organized by nepalsutra.com

This is THE property at which to stay in Kathmandu. Step into the tranquility of the courtyard layout and you will understand. Immediately gone are the noise and craziness of the world just outside. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. While it is not the most convenient of locations for points... More

We stayed in this unique hotel for 2 nights, one on the way to Bhutan and one on the return. As you enter from the bustling, noisy, dirty streets of Kathmandu you feel as if you are entering a different world. All is peace and calm. The hotel consists of various buildings, built mainly of carved wood, with courtyards around... More
