Travelers to Kathmandu know how noisy Thamel is for most of the day and night. Finding a quiet room with a minimum of traffic, people and dog noise is a real plus in the hectic place. I got lucky and found the Fuji Hotel. It's located on a side street in the Thamel section of Kathmandu, but only minutes away... More

Each time we popped in and out of Kathmandu over a two-month period, we called the Fuji Hotel our home away from home: the staff treated us like family; we could store our extra luggage and belongings while we were away on trek; when one of us got sick, they helped us make sure we had what we needed. The... More

My room mate was sick and the manager was very helpful in getting the doctor to come and see him. The manager even helped rushed to get the vegetable soup and medicine for my friend as we needed to catch the 11am flight to Pokhara. We appreciate this very much. I also like the little garden which we can have... More

Found this lttle gem tucked away up a nice quiet side road....quite a rare thing in this crazy busy place! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were bright, clean and a nice size. The entire hotel is very good value for money....and there's free internet in the lobby too!! And as an added bonus there is THE... More

The fuji hotel offers a tranquil getaway from the hectic streets of katmandhu. Reasonable, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, free internet in the lobby and good breakfasts. The location is good too -handy for Thamel but away from the main road.

We had the pleasure of staying with Pradeep Pakhrin (owner) and his staff while in the Thamel district of Kathmandu this October (2011). Pra was personally present at all times and nothing escaped his capable attention and the prompt attention to our every want was immediately met. The Hotel is ideally situaled just off the main drags in Thamel, and... More

The location is good. Convenient and quiet. Our flight is late in the evening and the hotel arrange the pick-up, the staff is very hostile. I made the room reservation online and the staff feed back immediately. The room is very big with a balcony and the shower is great. The furnitures are not new just as any other hotel... More
