The Trek-O-Tel is on the lakeside, just across the road from the Phewa Lake and close to restaurants, cafes and lots of shops. We stayed there before and after our great Annapurna Trekking. It has a very nice garden with a cozy little cafe- restaurant which serves a good breakfast as well as other delicious dishes. The staff was friendly... More

I have stayed in Pokhara many times, but as my usual hotel is being rebuilt (as is much of Pokhara, and Nepal in general at the moment) I had to find somewhere new. The room was at the front of the hotel, so we had a great view of the lake, and it wasn't noisy at all. The bed was... More

This was a second choice, since the nearby hotel we wanted was fully booked. However we liked the setting of this hotel, and the quiet location of Gaurighat, a beautiful stretch of Lakeside with full view of the lake. There is plenty of souvenir shops, stores and restaurants nearby. A pier for boating and the avia club office for glider... More

"Lakeside" at Fewa Lake at Pokhara is the centre of the trekking and tourist community, well away from the main Pokhara town centre. It stretches a couple of kilometres from Fishtail Lodge, roughly following the lakefront, until the main centre of Lakeside, where the bulk of the shops, restaurants, and cheap accommodation is located. There are "shops" and cafes the... More

The rooms were basic but clean and we had a good view over the lake. The position of the hotel is across the road from Fewa lake and within the tourist area of lakeside. The rooms are in little blocks with a distinctive and attractive design. There is free wifi and we were pleased to find it worked from our... More

I stayed at the Trek-O-Tel during an Exodus tour of India and Nepal. The hotel had been rated as a "standard" hotel rather than "comfortable" in the trip notes so we didn't expect too much. It was however one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during the holiday. While it's certainly not flash the rooms are bright, clean, and... More

The Trek-O-Tel is well positioned right in the middle of the tourist area of Pokhara. The rooms are arranged in small blocks within attractive grounds. They are accessible only by stairs but these are fairly short flights up two storeys at most. The room that we had was very clean, attractive and spacious with a good bathroom and flatscreen TV.... We liked the hotel for its location...right in front of the Fewa lake. If you prefer a mountain view, you should take rooms at the back. In general the rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water is OK. The layout of the rooms are also interesting. The small garden in front is nice in the winter sun. The thing that got... More

The power went off just after I arrived in my room and stayed off all night and the shower was just a tepid dribble. The Hotel building is attractive but my room looked very 'tired' and had nothing welcoming about it. As I was only staying for one night I did not voice my comments to the staff and perhaps... More
