This hotel is conveniently located in a minute walking distance from the Zhishan Subway station, north of Taipei, around fifteen minutes away from down town. Very clean, reasonable price, great service, and considerably spacious room for what you pay, and very courteous staff.

I actually think this hotel was better than expected. Really good location next to the MRT. Staff are lovely. Room was huge! With big bath and shower. For Taipei this was perfect for a few nights stay. I think some of the comments are unfair. It isn’t a 5 star but is perfect for a few days

Location is nearby train station. One station away to Shilin night market. The room is old but very clean. Staff was helpful and polite. There was free wifi in the room. Breakfast was just simple. There is also one japanese restaurant nearby which was very good.

First of, we choose this hotel because of a gathering among friends, many of whom stayed here as the venue is walking distance to where the event is held. It is 2 MTR stops away from Shihlin night market. The area is called Tianmu, a nice area to llive as there is a big Sogo Mall with lots of shopping and restaurants inside. There's also a big supermarket and food eateries in the basement. The rooms are a little dated but clean and big. The bathroom is also spacious with a nice bath tub where you can just relax after a whole day of shopping and sightseeing. Service is pleasant and always with a big smile. They really do try their best even though we do not speak Mandarin.

This is a basic hotel. All that you need, a clean bed and a a shower. Its quiet and very close to the MRT. Front desk efficient and friendly. This hotel is ideal for one night possibly two bit no more. The breakfast was I am sorry to say pretty unpleasant - an odd array of hot dishes and fried eggs piled on a plate. It was greasy, cold and not very appealing - no coffee or tea. I simply would not bother. The rating I have given is based on the room not the breakfast - its good value for money as a RO basis.

Room Tip: Not much in way of views (its near a road and a train line) we were on floor 2 and it was not noisy.

Rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable. Can be a little noisy at times but not too bad. There are smoking and non smoking floors. Breakfast is basic at the cafe but OK. Staff friendly and helpful. They also speak English. There's a MRT stop and a shopping mall within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.

The staff at the hotel, in particular those at the reception, were very nice. I stayed here for 7 nights. Even though the room felt a bit outdated, it was very spacious and had all amenities, including coffee and tea facilities. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom is very spacious too. The hotel is only a few minutes away from the MRT station and there are some good local restaurants around. A pleasant stay indeed!

A great little boutique hotel in Tianmu. Close by and convenient to so many little shops and restaurants and even a shopping mall Sogo! Great for visitors that want something close to mrt and more local feel. Check in was at 5pm which is kind of strange. Prices are really reasonable, under $80usd per night.

I was a bit concerned from some of the reviews but it was excellent. Great rooms, nice size for Taipei/East Asia in the price range. Very clean. Great location-5 minute walk to the Zhishan MRT station. Fantastic breakfasts. Good variety. To those who travel to other countries but want a 'Western' breakfast, stay at a Hilton, etc. There was plenty. Eggs, ham and wiener sausages. But great vegetables and rice porridge. My Taiwanese partner loved it too! Only down side was the 5pm check in-especially after a long flight from Australia-and the 'adult' movies which are on the channels between the children's regular TV programmes.

Since my short weekend trip to Taipei focused on hiking Yangmingshan and cycling around Tamsui, this hotel was perfect for me as it was located more in the northern part of Taipei. The hotel is clean but don't expect to room to be as nice as what the photos on the hotel website as things start showing sign of age. Breakfast is mainly local Taiwanese style, it is simple but good enough. If you are coming from airport, I suggest you to pre-book a taxi and it will be cheaper than flagging one at the airport. I don't even bother the hassle taking the subway and then the airport bus.
