Stayed there for two nights recently as part of The Global Scavenger Hunt's annual around the world travel adventure competition. What a great hotel...spacious, great public rooms, fun and energetic bar...good restaurants. Close to subway...and many stores nearby...a walkers paradise!

The hotel is classy and upscale, but I found it disgusting that they rip you off with unreasonable charge for Internet usage. For a high class hotel where travelers already are already paying substantially for a room, why not include this convenience? The network infrastructure is already established, opening it up for guests to use won't incur any operating costs....

The Grand Formosa Regent is an elegant hotel well located in a upscale shopping district of Taipei. I stayed at the Regent for one night during a business trip and can say that this is a great hotel with super staff! The concierge could not have been more helpful in assisting me to coordinate my travel to various meetings. The food at the hotel was delicious. The only downside was the Internet connection..not great.

Beautiful 5 star hotel. Top notch service everywhere, especially including concierage. We had room 837, "Executive King".
