My favorite hotel in Taipei is showing its age, thankfully the service, dining and amenities are still first rate. The rooms are clean, good sized but now a bit tired. However, you can't beat the location, walk around the corner to Taipei 101 and easy to find great eating on foot. Hope some rehab is on the way soon for... More

As many others here have mentioned: great location, wonderful staff, excellent service quality - but badly run down and therefore not a Hyatt as you might expect it. The club lounge has great breakfast and happy hour selections, but it was crowded and noisy when we were there.

Go stay here. Right next to the 101 close to expensive shopping and just a short walk to night markets, culture and public transportation. It does look like a high end hotel, and it is how they present themselfs. But, the hotel could use a small update as the room is ran down a little. But it is certainly still... More

The hotel is one of the more expensive US brand name hotels in Taiwan. It is very nice, centrally located, right across from Taipei 101 (the local "tallest building"), and a 15 minute cab ride from everything. The staff is very nice, eager to please. The pool and spa are great. The rooms are nice, albeit a little dated (think... More

We came to pick up our daughters we adopted and stayed here because it was recommended. It's lovely but expensive and not ideal for a family. The Spa and gym is superb - over the top with marble floors like the rest of the property. The staff is gracious and kind and the location is close to shopping. Unless your... More

Located in the newer shopping district, there is a covered corridor links to almost all shopping areas. Eslite bookstore building is our favorite, with shopping floors and a huge bookstore. Or you could walk about 10-15 mins to the MRT station which connects you to everywhere, cheap and easy. The hotel lobby is very pretty, the room is good size... More

Stayed on the club floor evening cocktails were good but all downhill from there. Staff on club floor also very pleasant Room was very tired in desperate need of renovation Bed was so old it sagged in the middle and after 2 nights terrible back ache ensued Breakfast in club lounge poor and staff could not even cook an omelette... If your are looking for a standard 5 star accomodation then Hyatt in taipei is the place. If you are looking for a hotel in taipei that embodies taiwanese culture, traditions or architecture then Hyatt is not the place. Pros: 1. Heated swimming pool 2. Amazing Spa 3. On time room service (laundry / food / house keeping) Cons: 1.... More

This was our first stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. My husband and I went to Taipei for the long weekend to recharge our batteries. Easy to get to the hotel from the Songshan Airport by taxi, NT150. The hotel is right across the road to the Taipei 101 and a block away from the Sun Yat-sen Memorial. The Taipei... More
