The location of the hotel is its best feature. It is reasonably close to the Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT station, and there are many restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. I experienced two major problems associated with this stay. The staff have refused to comply with a simple request for verification of my stay for reimbursement purposes from my... More

I stay in Taipei monthly and all my normal hotels were full or priced above the normal. As this Royal Palace had received such a good reviews and location seemed nice, I booked a room for two nights. On the 2nd evening, I was looking at my desk where I was writing emails and realized that there were tens of... More

I was in Taipei with my family in Dec 2011 and stayed here for 3 wonderful nights It was located in a side street just off the main road but it was just a very short walk to the main road where the entrance of the MRT can be found. And Sogo is on the opposite side of the road... More

Stayed in the Royal Palace for 6 days while in Taipei and got their best room available as the room prices in Taiwan are ridiculously cheap. Nice hotel situated just off the main road, so that meant that getting there and back was no problems at all. It's close to one of the main stations ZhongXiao Fuxing, which meant that... More

I would stay here again. The hotel is extremely convenient and when booked with Agoda one can get an extremely good rate. However, becareful of windowless rooms, or at least rooms with a beautiful view of the building about 6 inches away. I asked to switch to another room and they let me do it the next day. They said... We stayed here for 3 days. The room is spacious, the bed comfortable, the restroom well appointed. The little touches are quite nice, such as daily refill of free fruits and water and drinks in the room. They do not overcharge for phone use like in the US, just typical local phone rate for local or other locations in Taiwan.... More

We stayed 3 nights at Royal Palace hotel in late Oct 2011, it is a very nice hotel located in the best and busiest neighborhood in Taipei. Taxi ride from airport was about 1,100TWD, took 45 minutes in good traffic, driver knows the spot, said he heard on dispatch radio many rides going to same hotel. It is one very... More

Frankly, I did not expect too much before I actually stayed in this hotel. The location is good as it is near to the subway station. However, you will only feel that way during your stay because you can only get to its vicinity if you take the airbus/subway from the airport. If your baggage is bulky, well, you would... More

Business partners recommended this hotel to me and choice was good. Hotel have small lobby but very clean and comfortable (free coffee, tea). We booked standard room and choice was excellent (clean room, free coffee, tea, fruit, drinks in fridge,..). Most important is that it is free internet access, business room with printer.. Near lobby is breakfast restaurant and they... More

Pros: A comfortable and convenient hotel with free visitors parking, business centre and gym - even if the latter 2 are a bit small e.g. 6 computers in English and Chinese; friendly and polite staff who would readily help out with our luggage and not hassle us for tips. The frontdesk staff also readily provided us with travel tips of... More
