We spent 4 nights at the Ariyasomvilla in May 2012 and were very happy to stay there, as the house is located 10 minutes walk from the BTS station and is a beautiful old Bangkok house. After a few hours in the frenetic city, you enter an oasis of calm and peacefulness. We had room 110 which is in front... More

Just back from a wonderful holiday in Thailand. We stayed at the Ariyasomvilla 4 nights in total --one at start and 3 at end of a three week stay. What a haven of tranquility in a mad city! Folks this is a "real" boutique hotel, not just a label of convienence. The rooms are tastefully decorated and finished to a... More

We left Bali bound yesterday from Bangkok. This hotel was truly as special and wonderful as everyone else says it is. I loved that it is so near all the mad hubbub, but is an oasis of calm and peace. Faultless service. Wonderful staff who couldn't do enough o help. This hotel is the perfect antithesis to the huge 5... More

We stayed on the 3 night package which included breakfast, set dinner for 2 & a Thai massage. Fabulous hotel in a convenient location. Our room was lovely & spacious and were even upgraded from a deluxe to a suite. This was fab as it was actually our wedding anniversary! All the staff were friendly & very courteous. The set... More

We stayed for 1 night at the start and 1 night at the end of a 3 week trip through Vietnam and Thailand and loved the hotel. We had a suite on our first visit (we were upgraded) and then a deluxe room on our final visit. Both rooms were fabulous, very spacious, tastefully decorated and with large bathrooms. The... More

This hotel is positively lovely. The rooms are spacious, well designed/decorated and have big bathrooms, the restaurant is fantastic (you must try the pomelo salad - literally one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my life), the Thai massage was blissful, the staff is friendly, location is good and grounds are lush and well maintained. Would... More

Ariyasomvilla is a lovely little hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens and pool area are beautiful. The restaurant had excellent food, I particularly recommend the chocolate pie and the gooseberry pie. It is within walking distance from the Skytrain making it very convenient. I have nothing but good things... More

Bangkok is full of high-rise international hotels catering to business travelers that I find elegant but without character. The Ariyasomvilla is a hidden oasis of quiet and charm in the midst of a busy, hectic city. The food is outstanding, tempered for Western palates. Our room was large, the bed firm and comfortable; the bath was luxurious. The staff is... More

Ok so when researching places to stay I look at various reviews, established travel reviews and also places like trip advisor, this time I hate to admit it , i didn't enjoy my stay, and would not recommend to any one staying there. Perhaps my experience was a once off, but I wish I had stayed elsewhere Ok the good... More

Dear Pennywise4, Thanks for your review. I am sorry that things weren't to your standard and thank you for pointing this out. I am sure that we need the occasional reminder that we are only as good as each guest finds us. We'll review all the points you have raised and see if we can do better. Gratefully - David More
